Standard of accommodation & food

Our pedal cycling trip was generally good except for accommodation: "First, several of the hotels’ breakfasts were very modest. Pedal cyclists like us need more food than other travellers to start their day. We do not think that just pastries and coffee are adequate. Most offered more, such as fruit (or fruit salad), eggs, bacon. We believe that should be minimum for any booking. Secondly, in your detail for Hotel Diderot you mention - correctly - that “some rooms are located on the first and second floor and the accommodation does not have a lift.” This contrasts considerably with your description of Hotel de L’Abeille in Orleans. What you say is not wrong as far as it goes but leaves out a significant detail. The hotel has 4 floors and no lift. We were on the 4th floor and ourselves had to carry our luggage up those 4 floors - over 90 steps on a winding staircase! - without help. Why is that not mentioned? Surely, your description of Diderot more than justifies an equivalent for L’Abeille?"
