Enjoy stone Town city tour with us, zanzibar cultural heritage is here, zanzibar historical heritage is here. The tour is full of learning, entertainment etc.
We spent two nights in Stone Town after a beach stay on the East Coast and had read that a walking tour was a must-do to appreciate the history and culture of the area. After reading glowing reviews, we decided to book with Nouman and were looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, things got off to a rough start. We were told to meet at 9:00 AM and arrived promptly, but Nouman showed up 10–15 minutes late. While he mentioned later that he had bike trouble, we had sent texts to check in and received no response — a simple message would have gone a long way in setting expectations and starting things off on a better note. Throughout the tour, Nouman frequently took phone calls, which made us feel like we weren't a priority. He would share a brief bit of information and then return to his phone, making it difficult to stay engaged or feel like we were having a personalized experience. Admittedly, we may not have been the most enthusiastic group, but it’s hard to be when you feel like an afterthought. At $50 USD, we expected more value — both in terms of professionalism and depth of information. In hindsight, exploring on our own with a guidebook or online resources might have been more enjoyable and cost-effective.
I was the only person on the tour, it was a last minute booking and I really enjoyed it. Nouman was interesting, informative and very friendly. I felt totally safe walking around with him. The sights and smells at the fish market were amazing and the former slave market was overwhelmingly sad.
Thanks you for writing us a great review and it was pleasure to be with you So I wish to see you soon .
A wonderful walk of the town an unbelievable history The slavery was so sad however in history we learn an grow as a nation A trip to undertake whilst in Zanzibar
We had a great and informative tour with Nouman. He was very informative and took us at our own pace through the town. It was a great introduction to Stone Town.
Let's just say it was very hot that day... Not the most engaging or enthusiastic guided tour we have experienced. On the positive side, we worked with Nouman for making arrangements for transfers throughout the rest of our stay on Zanzibar, and that part worked out very well.
Thanks you for writing us a great review and it was pleasure to be with you also would like to say sorry for the hot by the way I wish to see you soon .
We definitely would have needed a tour guide to help us to navigate the confusing streets of Stone Town. We met our tour guide at the Cape Town Fish Market Restaurant , so it was easy to find him. Our tour guide was nice and really mellow and he allowed us to go at our own pace. During our 2 1/2 hour tour we went by the market, several stores, the slave dungeon and memorial, the church, the old fort, and the Freddie Mercury Museum. The tour was interesting and informative. I recommend signing up for this tour.
Our walking tour of Stone town with Nouman was fantastic! Nouman was very knowledgeable and personable. Would highly recommend
We took a tour of Stone Town, arranged by Tanzania Specialist. It was very informative and included multiple regions: the markets, the slave trader sites, the water front and more! There are lots of good places to eat - and we had some authentic food which was delicious. Our guide was invaluable since the tiny streets weave around and it would be easy to get lost! There is a lot of hustle/bustle with shoppers and vendors (great places to get some deals - especially on spices) . You mingle with the locals and get a real sense of the life.
Cool tour! The city is beautiful and the guide is very friendly. One of our greatest experiencies in Zanzibar! Thank you Nouman!!
