Itinerary
Get ready for an exciting, unique adventure as you swim among the stingrays -- some of the most docile sea creatures in the world! Featured in National Geographic Magazine, Stingray City is the Cayman Islands’ most popular site. Here, 30 to 40 gentle Southern Atlantic stingrays swim freely in 3 to 5 feet of crystal-clear, current-free waters, waiting to see what you've brought them for lunch. It was created by accident in the mid-80s when fishermen returning to port anchored in the calm waters of the Sound to clean their catch and discard bait overboard. The stingrays, drawn by the smell of the fish, quickly became accustomed to the “free meal” and stayed. Today, the rays regularly dine on squid provided by divers and snorkelers. Native Way instructors will show you how to interact with these incredible animals in the only place in the world where you can do so in the wild.
Star Fish Point At this location, you will delight in the hunt to seek out beautiful Caribbean starfish. Easily located at this site, the magic begins once the guest finds a starfish. The beauty and color of these incredible creatures give you a vibe mixed with awe, peacefulness, and happiness. This location is approximately 3 feet deep and suitable for individuals of all ages.
Coral Gardens A coral reef covered in 10 feet of clear, turquoise water, Coral Gardens features some of the most spectacular formations found in the world. Here you'll encounter an incredible variety of tropical fish, stunning Moray eels, amazing underwater plants and an array of other sea life.

It was fantastic - the crew were amazing and super friendly and knowledgeable. They took us to great spots and the sting rays did not disappoint
We so much enjoyed this wonderful and unforgettable excursion! The trip included round-trip shuttle service from our resort to the dock by our friendly driver, Eldon. The journey was on a spacious boat, captained by the amazing, Sheldon, and deckhand, Leeland. Not only did we feel comfortable and safe, but the crew was highly interactive, knowledgeable and personable. They allowed us to ride on the bow of the boat and sit up-top for incredible views during the cruise. Our first stop was for excellent snorkeling where we swam with turtles, a couple stingray and many colorful fish. We observed Leeland feed a colorful eel as well. Next stop was fabulous with all the huge stingrays. Each person held and fed the stingray. The crew was so interactive in handling the beautifully stingray and allowing for many photo opportunities. We did not feel at all rushed. While at Stingray Point, we noticed several larger vessels and larger groups and so much enjoyed the quaint and personable size of our group, about 20 of us. Last stop was Starfish Point, where we were allowed to gently handle the starfish, making sure they remained submerged at all times.
A very unique experience, holding a sting ray. Snorkeling was great too, we even saw a turtle! Must do activity.
Captain chArles and Dave were amazing. They were fun, knowledgeable and made the experience easy and relaxing for our 1 year old baby. We were stressed that he couldn't participate, but he was able to do everything and really enjoyed it. Super safe and highly recommend.
What a wonderful experience this was! Highly recommend! Captain Sheldon was the best! Book this and don’t think twice.
We had amazing day! Charles and David were exceptional tour guides and made the experience absolutely wonderful! Our kids loved it so much, they begged us to book again for the next day. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun, educational way to experience the stingrays, turtles and other sea creatures. Can’t wait to do it again!
Wonderful crew, easy bus to the boat, stingray city was great, our guides got some stingrays to stay with the group so we could take pictures, back right on time with no issues getting back on our cruise ship
We loved absolutely everything about this tour! The boat (Trippin Out) was spacious, the group size wasn’t too large, the captain was so funny and personable, and our guide grew up on the island and was so passionate and knowledgeable about the wildlife and the history of Grand Cayman. The Coral Gardens were absolutely gorgeous, and both gentlemen made sure everyone had plenty of time and pictures with the stingrays! Definitely a tour to book!
This excursion was absolutely fantastic. We were picked up from our hotel and we left from the marina. They were courteous and professional the entire time. They even spent extra time with our 7 year old to make sure he was safe and comfortable in the water. Wish I could give higher than 5 stars.
Amazing experience! This excursion was the highlight of our trip, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Grand Cayman. Charles and David were fantastic...professional, knowledgeable, and humorous. There were only 18 people on our tour, so there was plenty of space and shade on the boat, making the experience very comfortable. Our excursion included three incredible stops: the coral reef, Stingray City, and Starfish Island. Each stop was absolutely worth visiting. They even surprised us with an extra stop to see and swim with sea turtles at a second reef, which made the day even more special. The crew made everyone feel safe and comfortable during our interaction with the stingrays and took the time to capture photos for every individual and group. At the end of the tour, they treated us to a scenic cruise through the canals to admire the spectacular waterfront homes. Hotel pick-up and drop-off were included, which was another great perk. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. This truly was an experience of a lifetime!
