Stavanger Silent Lysefjord and Pulpit Rock Cruise by Hybrid Boat

Description
Sail through Lysefjorden and admire the famous Pulpit rock tower high above from the water. See waterfalls and get close to nature and keep a look out for wildlife. First we visit the Vagabonds Cave, a narrow outcrop in the side of the fjord and we discover its secrets. Afterwards, we continue to Preikestolen. Translated “preachers pulpit”, Preikestolen is a sight unrivalled in Norway. The rock formation towering over 600 meters above you seems to defy all laws of nature and it’s a stunning sight to see. Lastly we visit the 75 meter tall “whiskey” waterfall and you will learn from our guides why it has received this name. While our guides share stories and history of Lysefjord, we keep our eyes out for wildlife as well. During the cruise we have a chance to see wildlife, besides plenty of birdlife, there is a chance to see rarer animals such as sea eagles, mountain goats and possibly even porpoises.

Overall an excellent service. Friendly staff, informative on-board history of the local area. 3 hours of travel, with refreshments and toilets.
Lovely close up views of the spectacular Lysefjiord from a very comfortable boat. The meeting point was a 2 minute walk from the Cruise ship and very easy to find
The cruise is run by the same group BRIM that does the Oslo silent cruise. Boats are similar. Three decks. You want good weather of course. First half of outbound is in the open fjord with views of the various shores/islands. Second half is into the fjord with VERY steep walls and incredibly deep water. The Pulpit rock outcropping is famous and visited mostly at the top of it for what is described as the world's best observation point. This cruise looks up at it. Entertaining narration. Nice bathrooms. Some refreshments available. Free water and ice. Leisurely trip.
We have been on this fjords trip yesterday. Weather was - still is - amazing We had a fantastic crew with an Australian knowledgeable guide who shared plenty of interesting information. The sights are fantastic, great experience. Unlike some reviews says, you Do see Pulpit Rock. And the 2 goats 🐐:-). Great afternoon out for all ages. Boat is comfortable with plenty of seating inside and out - although we mostly stood at the front to take in the view. So glad I have booked it.
What a wonderful experience! Everything was great: boat iself, friendly staff, funny guide and of course the breathtaking views. Our dog was also allowed on board.
Easy to book. Very easy to find the boat as it was steps from our gangway. I sat on the top deck. It did go from mild to chilly to rainy to hells gate to chilly so def bring a windbreaker but you won’t regret the panoramic views! I’ve never been on such a quiet boat it was great to not hear a big engine and when they went into hybrid mode, near silence! They have a bar/cafe and offer bottomless coffee and a delish cinnamon roll for 90 nok and also have wine and various alcohol/non-alc drinks too. The crew was great! The bartender told me where they get the pasties and even wrote the name down for me. A 2nd crew member recommended going to a specific location since they were near other shopping and restaurants/bars. Our narrator had a great sense of humor and knew the area well and told some great stories. We even got to see some mountain goats and the boat goes close to the shore so they can toss them some carrots! Really breathtaking views! I did the 1030a tour and had more than enough time to explore the city center afterward. This tour was about 3 hours total and well worth the price. Highly recommend!
Great cruise! Loved the crew members. They were very knowledgeable and made the trip very fun. I would definitely recommend this one!
Nice excursion for cruise passengers. Easy access from the cruise dock to the boat ride starting location. You get to see popular attractions like Lysefjord and pulpit rock from the water.
To glide smooth and silent along the Cliff side was unforgettable. The Australian guide was both informative and the most amusing ever, and was worth the ticket alone.
Beautiful scenery!!! The boat operator was so knowledgeable and fun to listen to. Highly recommend!!!
