Me and my husband took the St John river lunch cruise ship on June 19, 2026, it was a warm welcoming, nice and formal, there are few great waitresses but, A young man name Rolling Montgomery was the nicest waitress of all, he made us comfortable, what ever we ordered, we got it, he was an amazing guy, his services is great and excellent, we’re appreciate him with all our heart. Thanks for the st John Barbara Lee River cruises ship Sanford Florida, we are enjoyed and have a nice time while taking the cruise.
Food was horrible !!! Prime rib was over cooked.. baked potato and carrots and meat were cold when served !!
Relaxing, older ship, amazing staff, food questionable, drinks and dessert, amazing. You may be seated with people you don't know, which is awesome. There is also a narrated tour as you cruise. Topside and windows are great.
Our study group chose to have a midweek get-together. The weather was great, and the boat was awesome. HOWEVER, perhaps it was a mid-week bump in the road, but I wish I could get a refund of the time and money spent - honestly speaking. The food was lukewarm, dull, mushy Italian food served buffet style. I'm not even sure WHAT I ate, but my stomach yelled at me for the next 24 hours! I just retired from teaching, and I had eaten food that was served in public schools in the 60s and 70s - YUCK. The top was allowed to go through the food line first.... tick-tock..... By the time we were able to eat, the 'cruise' was half over and on the way back to shore. If they had told us we had a wait time of nearly 40 minutes before we were permitted to eat, I would have enjoyed the view and a drink up on deck while I waited. I'm not sure the servers even knew what to do. It was listed as 'sold out' - but I think they just didn't have any help, as there were many empty tables, and again, the food! ugh. I do admit that it was sweet, standing on deck in the evening, but I would NOT spend my hard-earned money to do this again. Gail was a great help in seating us together, but I have very little to say about the rest of the nearly absent, sleepy crew. My study group is the best around, and we had a great time - it's the company you keep that makes a trip worth doing!!! So, I'll treasure the memories and purge the dinner cruise. LOL
Had some time to burn in the Deland area and decided on the 3 hour lunch cruise. It was my sister and I and we had a blast. Good food and inclusive for dietary restrictions! The staff was warm and attentive, the woman singing was great, and there was even some history of the experience included over the speakers. She even took song recommendations!! Definitely worth it.
The cruise ship was very clean and service was excellent food was good and and good entertainment I wil be going again
Had a great time the food was very good. Nice entertainment very peaceful and relaxing. Will do again. The staff was very professional.
My wife has a fractured hip. Can't climb stairs. They moved us from H4 to D2. This was downstairs but on second level. Had to go up 4 stairs . Seating was in the center of level. There was virtually no view from our seats. My wife could not go down the 4 stairs to get a decent view. By far the worst seats on the boat. But, food was great as was the entertainment. But for the money not worth it
The Trip down the St John’s River on the Barbra Lee was phenomenal and we would go again! The only negative was the lettuce was old and had turned brown and should be corrected with extremely fresh lettuce, as the salad is one of the first visual food items brought to the table before meal. Other than this, everything was superb! We had a blast:)
Easy to order tickets. Boarded and left dock on time. Staff all friendly. Meal was delicious. Could purchase drinks. Music very nice and the view was great. A very nice relaxing adventure with friends
