St. John's Local Pub Tour & History Lesson

Tour was cancelled (understandably) due to weather, but we were only advised half an hour before. Did not check email so we waited outside for nothing.

Friendly, knowledgeable and be prepared for a ghost story or two. Great off the beaten path for pubs. Had an amazing tour would do it again next time we are in the city

A great way to spend an afternoon on our first trip to NL! Adam was a fantastic guide. Full of information, special spots to take us to, a couple ghost stories to share and even some “small world stories” that we discovered after sharing our road trip adventure with him. We met Adam at the designated meeting point and from the start, the experience was excellent. The weather was perfect and Adam was fun, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Throughout the tour, we learned about the history behind many of St. John’s iconic buildings, along with some fascinating local ghost stories and fires. Adam’s storytelling brought the city’s past to life in a fun and engaging way. The pubs included on the tour were fantastic.. Each stop had its own character and atmosphere, making it a great way to experience some of St. John’s local hospitality while learning about the city’s history. Although one of the pubs on the itinerary was closed for a private event, Adam quickly adapted and added alternative stops, which worked out wonderfully and showed his commitment to ensuring everyone had a great experience. The afternoon was entertaining, informative and full of laughs. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would happily do the tour again. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, fun and memorable way to experience St. John’s. Thanks for a fantastic afternoon, Adam!

We really enjoyed the tour. Adam pointed out a lot of interesting sights outside of the pubs as well as inside. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. We was more than happy to answer the groups questions. We would highly recommend this tour

Adam was a fun and knowledgeable guide, he gave us lots of good tips for our visit to St. John’s and other areas.

Dress warmly. Expect to drink beer. Adam was friendly and knowledgeable of the history of the area. We only visited three pubs - I was expecting to visit at least 5.

Adam led us on a relaxed walking tour, that illustrated local history and some surprise ghost stories! The overall vibe was very friendly and gave some great local recommendations as well.

Adam took us to some hidden gems, like The Ship, which we never would have clocked as a pub from the street. As we walked through historic St Johns, he told us stories of haunting and The Great Fire(s). It ended with a unique insight of a historic church. Cheers Adam - Thank you for the great afternoon!

Adam has real insights into the pub scene in St John’s. We added a fish n chips lunch to our tour. Best ever. But the last stop was a big surprise. Very unexpected and intriguing. Thanks Adam for the tour and the bonus spooky stories.
