Itinerary
See the oldest and most important building in the Ancient City. Hear why it has defined St. Augustine since 1695.
This sacred site's importance is difficult to overstate. It is the first Franciscan mission in the USA, as well as the oldest shrine to the Virgin Mary in the country. See the beautiful grounds and hear the vast history.
Where the Spanish originally landed at the city's founding in 1565. See statues of Ponce de Leon, Don Pedro Menedez, and over 60 resident peafowl.
The geographic center of the colonial city first appeared on the historic town plan in 1587. Surrounded by the most important public buildings in the city, from this vantage point see America's Oldest settlement and its historic cathedral, Governor's House, public market, and much more.
The Lightner Museum, housed in the historic Hotel Alcazar along with St. Augustine City Hall, gives us our base in the Flagler Alameda, the portion of town known as our Guilded Age square. See the myriad contributions bestowed on our fair city by the father of modern Florida. From here we also explore Flagler College and the Casa Monica Hotel.
The eccentric home of Franklin Smith, a contemporary of Henry Flagler, provides a glimpse into St. Augustine's opulent past as a luxury vacation destination. Modeled after Spain's Alhambra Castle, this building adds whimsical quirk to the city.
Explore St. Augustine's rich Civil Rights history. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spent valuable time in Lincolnville, the city's historically segregated portion, during 1964. Hear the events that lead to to and followed that storied visit.
"As we pass by the Ponce de Leon Hotel, a gilded-age gem, you'll be transported back in time. This once-grand hotel boasted the most luxurious accommodations and amenities of its era. Marvel at the stunning stained glass windows, meticulously crafted by Tiffany himself. A must-see for history buffs and art lovers alike."

We have done a lot of food tours in the past and this was the worst one by far. For the cost of the tour, the food options were laughable. Stop 1 - hummus, pita that was half dried out, olives, cucumbers. Stop 2 - small plate of cheese, meats and crackers. Stop 3 - one small pience of bruschetta that was stale and two coconut shrimp. Stop 3 - we each got to select a small dessert. We were definitely not even close to full like we normally are on these tours. Tour guide was nice but normally in food tours the food presented is tied to the history of the city and this was definitely not that. Don’t waste your money.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry the experience didn't meet your expectations. Our tour is designed to showcase the history of St. Augustine through both its stories and its food. Throughout the experience, guests enjoy premium wine pairings from around the world at each stop, including an additional premium tasting with our Certified Sommelier at Stop 2. Many of the food selections are intentionally connected to St. Augustine's history. Our first stop at the historic Hotel Alcazar features Mediterranean flavors that reflect the city's Greek influence, while later stops—including the shrimp and bruschetta—are chosen to complement the history of the restaurants and neighborhoods we visit. We're also sorry to hear you felt the historical aspect was lacking, as that is the foundation of this tour. If that portion of the experience wasn't properly communicated during your tour, we'd genuinely appreciate hearing more. Please feel free to contact us directly at info@firstcoastcarttours.com so we can better understand what happened and continue improving. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best.
We had a great time seeing the sights, hearing the history and enjoyed the four stops at local spots.

We have gone on many food tours. This may have been the BEST! It was nice not having to walk from one place to the next. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Food selections were amble and very tasty. Highly recommended for any one who loves both food and history.

This was a very informative experience to go along with great drinks and food. Our tour guide was Jenifer, very knowledgeable and helpful and fun to be around. If in the future if we decide to do the tour again, we will definitely request Jenifer as our tour guide. Laura and John from Dublin, Georgia.

Went on a tour with Jennifer on 6/20/2026. Right away she displayed her vast knowledge of the area’s history. She was a terrific guide, driver, and all around cool person. We really enjoyed all aspects of the tour. Perfect pace, vibe, and experience. The 4 of us could not have had a better time. The only tip I would give is to book directly with the company and not with a third party service. They are a small business and it’s nice when every penny of the well deserved money goes to them! The tour is about 3 hours or so and they pick up from where you are staying. Could not be more convenient!
Good Food, drinks and fun! Jennifer was great! She was knowledgeable, fun and accommodating! Great way to enjoy the city!

Great tour, especially with Jennifer the tour guide. A little history & stories of the local area. Four food stops, appetizer, wine & charcuterie, small bites, and then dessert. All with wine tastings. We really enjoyed the first 3 stops, they were great; the last could be changed to something more special, in our opinion. Jennifer was ready for inclement weather with rain ponchos! Highly recommend this food tour of St. Augustine, FL!
