Sri Lanka sightseeing tours 11 Days with driver, vehicle and H/B accommodations

We, a family of five, booked a 5-day, 4-night tour with Lanka Safe Tours, opting for the 3-star hotel package. Among the quotes we received, Lanka Safe Tours offered the most reasonable pricing — including an air-conditioned vehicle with Wi-Fi, breakfast and dinner, and a well-planned itinerary. We paid a $200 deposit before the trip and settled the balance in cash upon arrival. The team went above and beyond to accommodate our requests — from changing a hotel to organizing a birthday surprise for my dad with just a day’s notice. Their communication and flexibility were much appreciated. A special thank you to Prasanna, our driver and guide, who truly made our trip memorable. He took excellent care of us, always checking in to ensure we were happy with our rooms and meals. He was punctual, safe on the roads, and very kind in allowing us all the time we needed to explore. We visited Colombo, Bentota, Galle, and Negombo — all made better by Prasanna’s warm hospitality and professionalism. This was a great trip, made even better by Prasanna and the Lanka Safe Tours team. Thank you — and ayubowan!

We are a Swedish family of six travelling in the south, not spending too much time in the car on country/seaside roads. We visited Maduganga Lake, Galle Fort, whale safari, tried surfing in perfect conditions in Weligama, had some excellent chill days at Madiha Beach, had mighty waves in Tangalle, sun dawn in Yala National Park, had local guides in the Sinharaja rainforest and the intense smells of the Lumbini Tea Factory. The best part of our trip was our lovely guide, Prasanna. He took us consistently to the best food, many times from local kitchens, fresh seafood on the beach (the most recently caught fish I've ever had), small local bakeries/restaurants, or buffalo curd at the roadside. He consistently checked in on us when we were not together, to make sure all was good. If I say something constructive, opt out of the half-board (stick to breakfast) when there are many restaurants in the area (Ask Prasanna for recommendations as you go). Make sure you communicate your priorities to the agency at the start and check if you want/can afford to upgrade some of the agency-selected hotels. (We took the 4-star option and did one hotel upgrade) Accommodation prices can vary widely, and it is usually well worth paying a bit more if reviews are blended. We loved Sri Lanka and travelling with Prasanna. We hope to fund another trip with Lanka Safe Tours in the future.

We had a wonderful time on the tour. Prasan was the greatest part of the trip showing us the best time especially with our 3 year old. Thanks Pranan for the birthday present for Bristol.

Our guide / driver, Supun, was friendly and knowledgeable, a pleasant 10-day holiday. Already thinking about taking the whole family back!

Supun was a great driver and safely navigated the traffic from Colombo to Yala, Udawalawe, Galle and Sinharaja rain forest. We stayed in some great hotels and Supun gave us lots of information as we travelled always punctual and driving a nice air-conditioned car through the busy roads Yala Cinnamon wild hotel was great and the Sinharaha Evergreen villa was exceptional. Rated 3 star it is close to 5 star actually Yala park was great and saw leopard in the afternoon drive. Uderwalawa park is just about ok but the roads in the park are poorly maintained so probably just avoid for now. You have to drive so slowly you can’t go far in that park. Sinharaja rain forest is quite remote but the 3 hour jungle trek was great and our hotel was outstanding.

Had an amazing trip with Supun. I booked this tour as a solo traveller and met loads of new people and have some great memories. Supun was very informative and flexible with the days and plans when requested - Would recommend :)
