Springbrook andTamborine Rainforest Tour Incl Natural Bridge and Glow Worm Cave

Itinerary

Admission included60 min

We visit the Joalah National Park and take a walk through the rainforest to Curtis Falls. Apart from viewing the picturesque falls and the Cedar Creek, this is a great spot for spotting some iconic bird life such as the Rainbow Lorikeet, kookaburra, King Parrot, and colourful Rosella. You may even see the shy pademelons (small rainforest wallabies).

Admission included45 min

Of course glow worms only glow at night. So how do we see them on a daytime tour? We take you to the award winning Cedar Creek Glow Worm caves that have been specially constructed to turn daylight into nighttime with the thousands of glow worms enjoying ideal conditions. The best way to see them!

60 min

During your time at Tamborine, you will have free time at the popular Gallery Walk - Queensland's premier Arts and Craft district. There is an eclectic range of clothing, jewelry, and art galleries, fudge and sweet shops, wine tasting centres, boutique brewery and much more.

15 min

Hang Gliders Tamborine Mountain is one of the most breathtaking lookout points on the mountain. Perched high on the western escarpment and just off Main Western Road, this open launch site offers sweeping views across the Scenic Rim and out towards the Great Dividing Range. On days with the right conditions, the sky comes alive as hang gliders and paragliders run, leap and soar into the air, drifting effortlessly on the mountain thermals. It is an unforgettable sight to watch these colourful wings float silently above the valley, set against the backdrop of endless rolling hills and big open skies. Whether you are here for the thrill of the take-off or simply to soak up the views, this is one of Tamborine’s most spectacular stops and a favourite for both locals and visitors.

Admission included70 min

Whilst in the Springbrook National Park we travel through the Numinbah Valley with its valleys, escarpments and forests until we reach the Natural Bridge Section. Take an hours walk through the magnificent rainforest to Cave Creek where we will see the waterfall tumble into the Cave below.

30 min

Hinze Dam is not only an important water source, it is also a haven for wildlife. Around the lake and in the surrounding bushland you can often spot kangaroos and wallabies grazing in the open spaces. Koalas are also found here, usually high up in the eucalyptus trees, resting during the day or slowly moving from branch to branch. The forests are also home to possums, bandicoots and the occasional echidna. Birdlife is especially rich. You might see eagles soaring overhead, black swans and cormorants gliding across the lake, or brightly coloured lorikeets and king parrots in the treetops. The dam also attracts a variety of waterbirds such as pelicans, herons and ducks. Reptiles are part of the ecosystem too, with lizards basking on rocks and turtles resting along the edges of the lake. At night the area comes alive with frogs and the sounds of nocturnal animals echoing through the forest.

The scenery was beautiful, and every destination was worth visiting. Our tour guide was outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and always happy to answer questions. They shared interesting local history and stories that made the experience even more enjoyable. Transportation was comfortable, and everything ran smoothly and on schedule. Overall, it was a relaxing, fun, and memorable tour. I highly recommend this day trip to anyone looking for a well-planned excursion with a fantastic guide. It was truly a wonderful experience.

Interesting???

It was not what I expected. Perhaps for someone who has never seen a rainforest or glowing worms it’s good. Unfortunately, I have experienced both of these.

素晴らしい体験ーWonderful experience!

The guide was excellent and adjusted the pace to match the participants. They also spotted plenty of wildlife—several species of birds, wallabies, kangaroos, koalas, and snakes—and explained them to us. However, I think it would have been even better if they had spoken a little more slowly for participants from non-English-speaking countries.

Beautiful scenery and a great opportunity to check out some wildlife. Our group was lucky, we were able to see a ton of animals and even a platypus! I got so many steps in, but it was a good blend or walking and riding.
