Hvar is well worth a visit

The locations we visited were beautiful. I especially loved walking around Hvar. The food was pretty good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The trip was a little disorganised at times.

Not recommended

Terrible company. Poor customer service. Tour left without us. We went to company on the wrong side who tried to call and advise we where in our way. No effort to locate is. 1 minute prior to departure time and 100m away. Rude staff Too busy to help Took our money Offered no alternative options. We went back to the company over the road and took a tour with them. Warning to carefully read instructions arrive earlier and be treated just like another number because it’s bust and high season. 160 euro down the drain!!!

Awful!

Horrific time on the boat. Overbooked and not enough seats. The staff are rude & offer no help. They ask for people to stay in the same ‘spaces/seats’ ie. If you sit on the floor for the first 5 minutes then that’s where you stay the entire time despite getting off the boat at multiple times throughout the day. Children made to eat on the floor. Appalling. Do not book and make sure that you check the kind of boat you’ll be on before booking any others. The staff will also not take a complaint from you. They just walk away!

Worth it

Three stops, paklenki was a fun swim around the boat, Hvar was a longer stop, it’s a beautiful place and well worth seeing. Finally brac where we had access to a beach resort area with pool. Great value and a great day out

Shore Excursion from cruise ship to Hvar and Pakleni Islands

We were on Oceania Cruises and had prebooked Split Excurisons (Portal Day Tours) a private boat excursion to Hvar and Islands. The office staff were exceptional and answered all our questions promptly We were greeted at port by Marija who escorted us to our speed boat. Gave us information along the way and then introduced us to our captain for the day. The day was fantastic as was our captain. He took us to all these fabulous places and recommended swimming spots, dropped us off at Hvar to walk around and then picked us up as planned and took us to another swimming spot where we could have lunch - the water was just pristine. And most importantly, had us back to port in time to catch our cruise ship.

Very nice experience

This private boat trip was very relaxing. Our guide waited for us on time in front of our hotel, we jumped to the boat and started our tour. There were jackets available on the boat as during the ride it was a bit chilly. The first stop was on Brac island, where we had some time for a coffee. Very nice. Then we continued to Hvar, again enough time to walk around the port, to sit for some drink. Lunch was at Pakleni islands. Food very good, with a nice view of the sea. Last stop was swimming from the boat. Unfortunately the sea was very cold, so we spent only a short time by swimming, but still we enjoyed it. Return boat ride is about 1 hour and was a bit bumpy, but the guide did his best to make the ride as much as comfortable as possible. Overall we enjoyed the trip, I can recommend it..
