Our guide will show you different spices and fruits grown in Zanzibar. He will give explanations about characteristics, growing, harvesting and uses of various spices like cloves, vanilla, nutmeg, ginger, cardamon and others.
You will visit the nature forest to see different big trees. Our guide will show you the red colobus monkeys and explain to you their unique features. You will visit the mangrove boardwalk. .

In the morning, visit to the Jozani forest, where we easily saw a large number of unshy monkeys, followed by a short walk with explanations in the forest, and finally a walk on a wooden path through the mangrove. In the afternoon, visit to a spice farm with many explanations and fruit tasting. Our French-speaking guide Ali is very knowledgeable and friendly.

The spice farm was good and we enjoyed seeing the monkeys. We had a nice taxi and driver but we felt the guide was a bit poor. He rushed us through the walk in the rain forest and we missed out on the mangrove broadwalk. He went to the wrong hotel so was late and then returned us earlier than expected. I think we missed out a chunk ! We would have been better and cheaper to hire a taxi for the day.
Thank you for taking your time to write your experience about the tour, and it's true for our tour guide he went in wrong hotel and he was a bit late but not much and it's happened sometime especially for the some hotel that has similar names, and the hotel that he went it's 5 minutes walk to the hotel that you was staying in distance ( he went zanzi house instead of stone Town house ) if you check that hotel on map you will see its close each other and sorry for that experience he is human and he is not perfect for everything and even some tourist they wrote us wrong hotel and we fix within few minutes it's just mistake( and about jozani you said you miss the mangrove part yes it's true you miss because from what our guide said one of you want to go and one doesn't want to go and finally the decision is you didn't go but Normally all our customers we bring at mangrove because we use the car from forest till mangrove part and walk in short distance just in bridge, and taking pictures. All in all we are happy for everything and we appreciate your review.
We were picked up from the hotel on time, followed by a visit to the "Jozani Forest". You can get very close to the funny monkeys there and take great photos. We were then taken to the spice farm. Here we were given a tour and were told about the different spices that grow on the island. A nice trip to get to know the island a little.
It was amazing trip with professional tour guide and a nice driver . It was a special birthday for me. Beautiful forest and spice farm
