This was an awesome tour with several beautiful sights. Petra, our guide was awesome. I would highly recommend this tour.
The South Iceland tour with Denis was amazing! The entire drive was beautiful and Denis was very knowledgeable about everything we saw.
Sites were great but trip was rushed at every stop. Driver drove very fast all day and overtook everything in front while giving the commentary and pointing to things to see. He kept saying we could take photos from the van but he didn’t slow down to allow this.
We are pleased you enjoyed the sites visited, and we are sorry the pace did not feel right for you. The full itinerary was completed, and the advertised time was maintained at each stop, including around 45 minutes at the main locations. We also take your comments about the driving and onboard commentary seriously and will review them with the operating team.
Though this tour involved a 2 hour ride each way it was excellent! We were delighted we booked it. During the motor coach ride we saw spectacular scenery, and were much entertained and educated by our guide Eva. (Eva had also been our guide for the equally super tour from Seydisfjordur.) The stops along the way were beautiful and gave welcome leg stretches. At the Glacier Lagoon, even before we got off the bus everyone was saying "WOW!" My husband called it an extravaganza of icebergs. We had never seen so many in a fairly small area. We throughly enjoyed our time there, wishing we had evem more time. A bonus for the area was that there was a type of geocaching called an Earth Cache. There was also a type of geocache called an Adventure Lab but we did not have enough time to do that. There was the option to ride the bus from the Glacier Lagoon to Diamond Beach or to walk. Eva gave excellent directions for the walk. It was along some of the lagoon, alomng the short river which had quite the current, undder the road bridge, then to the black sand beach. There was anotehr Earth geocache there . We did not have enough time to walk to the water's edge and walk amongst the grounded small icebergs at Diamond Beach before it was time to board the bus. On the way back, Eva called ahead to a restaurant in Hofn most for lobster soup The pleasure did not end there. Back in town, there was enough time to see the famous stone eggs, and for a surprise in one of the old tanks. The weather today was perfect: sunny. We ere happy we had brought warm hats and wore layers it was true. Would we recommend this tours to others? Absolutely YES.
Our guide Petra was very flexible, helpful and nice guide. The trip was neither too long, nor too short. All the places were nicely selected. I would only advice to pick a bit more for only-icelanders known facts as much of the information has already been known from touristic websites. But it’s a minor thing. Overall, happy with the trip
Tour with stunning landscapes. However, departure was more than half an hour late. Recommended
This tour of south Iceland is a must see! Our guide/driver Axel did a great job sharing historic information as we visited waterfalls, black sand beaches and glaciers. And he made sure it only rained while we were driving on the bus. The weather changes minute to minute so don’t let a rainy forecast be a deterrent to a fabulous tour. Definitely recommend!
Our guide from Portugal was fantastic. She really enjoyed her job and had a real passion for Iceland
We saw beautiful sceneries of waterfalls and black sand beach , but not much of the glacier . We just saw very small part of the glacier for a very short period of time.
Perfect tour, it took 10 hours. The small group tour I joined had a great atmosphere. Vjeran is very enthusiastic and takes his work very seriously. He accompanied us to each scenic spot and helped us take photos. This tour is best for everyone!
