Next, we’ll head to this special spot in the heart of the neon-lit strip to reveal our incredible Secret Dish, a surprise tasting that captures the creative spirit of the neighborhood. Guests opting for the beverage package will enjoy a crisp Margarita here while soaking in the Atlantic breeze and the rhythmic energy of the oceanfront.
We’ll then visit the famous Estefan-owned Cardozo Hotel to dive into the rich, comforting flavors of authentic Cuban cuisine. We will enjoy a Pastelito de Guava con Queso, a beloved staple that showcases the lasting legacy of the Estefan family. This stop is beautifully complemented by a classic Mojito
As we continue, We’ll take a curated walk through the heart of the Art Deco District, where pastel hues and geometric patterns come to life. Your guide will highlight the legendary buildings and stories that define this world-famous stretch, explaining how the 1920s and 30s design movement transformed this beachside enclave into a global icon.
Next, we’ll pass the legendary Versace Mansion, learning about its glamorous and dramatic history, before heading toward The Kent Hotel. We’ll then stroll down Washington Avenue, taking in the local energy and passing the Miami Beach Police Department, a historic anchor of the district, as your guide shares insights into the evolution of the community and the Wolfsoniam Museum, we will walk by this cultural landmark, an essential stop for understanding the design, history, and artistic identity that shaped South Beach’s global reputation.
Here is where we finish the tour on a high note, arriving at our final destination: the iconic 11th Street Diner. This is no ordinary restaurant; it is a meticulously preserved 1948 Art Deco dining car that was shipped all the way from Pennsylvania and nestled in the heart of South Beach. If you are driving into South Beach please allot additional 45 minutes to enter South Beach and locate parking as some garages may be full and you will need to drive around to locate street parking. ALSO please check traffic advisory on Internet for any traffic delays.

Janinha is a light this world needs! We could not have asked for a better night with her. She was beyond knowledgeable about the Miami Beach and South Beach area, history, and buildings, as well as art deco architecture. The food and drinks were incredible, and we truly had the best night walking South Beach with her. She is incredibly passionate about the area and is clearly very involved in this community. Janinha made our trip so special. 10/10.

A fun family experience for groups with grown children. Our tour guide could not have been more informed about local art deco and history. I was confused however, to purchase tickets for the tour (for 6) in advance through trip advisor to learn on the spot, I had to pay an extra $28 per person to have alcohol included (note the photo on this tour description). And then to learn at the last stop, drinks were not included (3 cocktails were included the 4th was not). The food was delicious, but for my family a bit sparse - one taco, a pastry and I/4 of a cubano. The tour ran from 4pm- 8pm - we all went home still wanting dinner. We enjoyed the tour and if you’re interested in art deco, you’ll love it. It just seems the tour description does not align well with the experience we had.

We had the best time with Janinha. She was attentive, informative, and so invested in the city. It was really special to spend time with someone who cared so deeply about her craft - and connecting with people on the tour. We’ve been coming to South Beach for years, but we learned more history in this evening from her than we have in our past trips. We also found some delicious new spots to eat at. Thank you Janinha!!
