Soul of the City: Montmartre Private Tour

Description
While the *Heart* of Paris beats on the Île de la Cité, its *Soul* lives in Montmartre. Perched above the city, this hilltop neighborhood has long been a haven for Parisians, with its cobblestone streets, winding alleys, and even smaller buses navigating its narrow roads. As we explore Montmartre together, I’ll share local tips to help you experience Paris beyond the guidebooks—from hidden gems to unforgettable food spots. At the summit, you'll be treated to one of the best panoramic views of Paris, often overlooked by first-time visitors. We'll also pass the famed love locks, a symbol of romance in the city. Colorful street art, stylish boutiques, and the stunning Sacré-Cœur Basilica await—this is where the true spirit of Paris shines.

I wanted this trip to be special and perfect in every way for my granddaughter's first time in Paris. Allison helped me accomplish this with the itinerary planning, the tours and the restaurant recommendations. We were able to breeze through our days because of the Trip Plans app she loaded everything into for us. It had dates, tickets for our tours, restaurant reservations that were booked, links to attractions and restaurants we might like, really helpful information about taxis, tipping, and background information for various monuments, etc. She also set up a private driver for us to get the airport on the day of our return. Our flight was early in the morning and I was very concerned about reliable transportation. Her driver was communicative, on time, and got us to the airport with plenty of time for check in and security procedures. Thank you, Allison, for making this a very special gift for my granddaughter.”
Thank you so much for your beautiful review! It was truly an honor to help plan such a special trip for your granddaughter's first visit to Paris. Knowing that everything came together smoothly and allowed you both to simply enjoy your time together is the greatest compliment I could receive. I'm so happy the itinerary, recommendations, and transportation helped make the experience stress-free. Thank you for trusting me with such a meaningful gift. I hope this was just the first of many wonderful memories in Paris for both of you, and I'd love to welcome you back someday!
Our time with Allison was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Her knowledge of the local history was incredible—she brought the area to life with fascinating stories and insights that we never would have discovered on our own. Every stop had a story, and she explained things in such an engaging and easy-to-understand way that it made the experience feel much richer. She also gave us fantastic restaurant recommendations that turned out to be some of the best meals we had during our visit. It was clear she really knows the local food scene and takes pride in sharing the best spots with her guests. And the pastry finds were absolutely amazing! She introduced us to bakeries and treats we likely would have walked right past, and each one was better than the last. If you love learning about the history of a place while also discovering incredible food along the way, you couldn’t ask for a better guide. We’re so grateful for the experience and would highly recommend Allison to anyone looking for a thoughtful, knowledgeable, and genuinely wonderful guide.
You're so kind to share such a lovely, thoughtful review. It's people like you that really make me thankful for the chance I have to do what I love. Milles Mercis!
While Paris isn’t the most difficult city to navigate, it is impossible for a tourist to appreciate the subtle history of the various sites and sounds of the city without some assistance. Our guide Hortense provided just the right amount of insight necessary to fully appreciate the Montmartre area. She met us at our apartment and helped us navigate the metro, while also getting an understanding of what we were interested in seeing and doing. There is no way we could’ve appreciated this part of Paris without her assistance. she was friendly and engaging and really enhanced the visit to this area.
Merci for your kind words about Hortense! She's such an asset to us. A real Parisian adds so much depth to the experience. Hoping you'll be back for more tours and adventures soon. Merci

Loved this tour with Allison! We went up the back way, no problem with hilly terrain on a very hot day, we had some treats, learned so much. She is awesome and I would tour with her again in a second! She is the best!
NO....YOU'RE THE BEST!!!! It was so much fun, and the treats are just my way of tempting you back! Thanks fr the kind words :)
This is such a fun tour, Allison is the best! I highly recommend reaching out to book with her in advance. Such a fun experience and she also offers amazing concierge services and will help you to book tickets to other museums and has the best recommendations for anything from pastries and thrift shops to the best restaurants in Paris. Thank you Allison, hope to be back for another fun day soon!
Merci, mon ami! Such a fun day showing you Montmartre and sharing laughs along the way. I'm so happy we were able to explore and become friends. Can't wait for the next time!
The tour is beyond what I expected. I was able to see everything I wanted to see on the tour and the customized itinerary made it super helpful and easy to plan the day. Allison showed us all the nuances in Montmartre and Sacre-Coeur area. Little Gems you would never find on your own. For an extra fee she is also available to assist with questions, reservations etc while in Paris.
Merci for such a lovely review. I have to be honest, the tours are such a delight and I love doing the concierge work, but the real delight is that you were willing to trust me with your precious time on this wonderful trip. Thank you for your lovely comments and hope you'll make it back to the city so I can show you even more!
This was our first trip to Paris and had heard about Allison through our travel agent. She was so incredible on the first day we hired her for a second day! The ability to walk the city with Allison and have her tell us about the history was incredible. She doesn't miss anything, from the most popular sights to the smaller less known, she is a wealth of knowledge. She also shared so many tips and tricks during the first two days that it set us up for success on the future days when we ventured out on our own. If I go back to Paris no doubt Allison and Tour to Bridges will be on the itinerary!
Merci Geri, It was a great pleasure getting you set up for success on your grand adventure. I'm so glad it all went so well!
Alison made sure we had a grand time with her soul of the city tour. My sister and I celebrated our birthdays last month in Paris. This tour made us both fall in love with Paris all over again. Our tour master knowledge and passion for the city of lights permeated our unique experience walking streets and sightseeing places we didn’t even know existed before. We were introduced to the place people go to fall in love with through the eyes and heart of an expert lover who wants the works to know WHY she is SO taken by Paris, obviously the “object of her affection” We are going back to France next April and will for sure go discover more about our beloved Paris with Alison.
Your words touch me, they are soo kind and beautiful. I am so pleased to have been able to share this lovely quartier of Paris with you all. I am even happier that I will have a chance to show you more in the Spring! Stay safe and keep celebrating your birthdays! Why not?
