Snorkeling Guided Activity in Puerto Morelos Mexico

The best snorkeling in the Riviera Maya! 🪸🐠 Snorkeling at the reef of Puerto Morelos is an experience of another level. The National Park is extremely well-preserved: we swam just a few meters from an incredible amount of living corals, colorful fish, rays, and even sea turtles. Being so close to the coast, the water is very calm and the visibility is spectacular. The local guides take great care of the ecosystem, making the activity safe and eco-friendly. A must-see natural wonder!

We did a two hour snorkeling tour on June 14, 2026. We booked with We love Puerto Morelos Tours on Avenida Javier Rojo Gomez. They picked us up and walked us to our guide for the trip. We paid 500 pesos per person. We were lucky and the tour only included our party of three. Carol was sweet and knowledgable. She is a Marine Biologist. Our captain was names Junior and he made sure all the equipment was in workinf order and all of us were ready for the water. We stopped in two different sites. We saw a sea turtle, barracuda and so many fish! The weather was gorgeous and our crew was helpful and peaceful.

Quick and easy to schedule last minute. Very affordable- great value. We saw sea turtles, barracuda, sting rays, lobster, and puffer fish, and many others. Carol was an exceptional guide.

Omar and Sebastian took us for a morning snorkel - they were both helpful and easy to get along with. I like this tour company because the boats have fewer guests (2 to 10 I believe). We saw other boats crowded with people. Omar pointed out things we probably would have missed: a yellow ray, the first big turtle, a nurse shark … he made us feel safe swimming past the dozing barracudas!

Excellent snorkeling experience. Equipment was of a high standard, and explained how to use it properly. Good explanation of how to snorkel in the water and respect the reef. The reef itself was incredible, so much to see. Carol was an excellent guide. Going to 2 spots was fantastic, seeing different marine life at both. Highly recommend these guys!

Small boat means less people and more attention. Our six passenger tour enabled us to be put right on the best spots. I felt at times almost too close, not wanting to disturb the reef. It was more than I hoped. Parrot fish and friendly squids were new to me. The usual cast of marine creatures also showed up, like turtles, rays, barracudas, and a small shark. Book it and docks next to stores, so shop when you are done.

Omar and his crew were awesome and helped us find turtles, barracudas, tons of colorful fish, and even a Manta Ray. Definitely a worthwhile trip.

Amazing experience overall- every crew member was really friendly and knowledgeable! Snorkelling in two different locations allowed us to see much more sea life. Being in a small group also made the trip more personalized and memorable:)
