Itinerary
We start our tour at Prince Edward MTR station (Exit A inside the station concourse area )
We will start our foodie tour with a tasty sampling of dim sum at a Michelin star Dim Sum restaurant. “Dim sum” – literally means “touch your heart”, is mostly a “snack-sized” portion, served in a small bamboo container, and eaten together with Chinese tea.
After a tasty sampling dim sum meal, it's time for us to do some exercise. We will start to walk and stop by an iconic wet market that offers a blast to the past.
This is a revitalization project comprises a total of 14 building numbers at Nos. 600 to 626 Shanghai Street, Mongkok, and our new stopping point. They include 4 post-war residential buildings and 10 pre-war shophouses which had been accorded Grade 2 Historic Buildings by the Antiquities and Monuments Office in 2010. Also, it offers a variety of local lifestyle shops. You can buy some souvenirs here.
After some exercise, we have space to have some food again. We will have the tasting of the “Chinese BBQ” which is also known as “Siu Mei”. These are highly seasoned meats, roasted on an open fire or in a rotisserie oven, the most popular “Siu Mei” is barbecue pork (boneless), barbecue goose and roast pork.
We will stop at 2 more family-run tasting food stalls featuring Hong Kong’s classic food which may include sweet Tofu dessert (very silky smooth tofu with sweet syrup), the marvelous fresh baked egg tarts or pineapple buns from the local bakery.
While we are in this bustling corner, our local guide will let you have sample tastings of various sorts of skewers and mini egg puffs or some local street snacks that you won’t even know what they are (but they are all safe and delicious to try).
After the tour is finished, our tour guide will see you off at Mongkok MTR station

Good friendly and knowledgeable guide. Experienced different foods. Learned a lot about Hong Kong. Lasted 2.5 hours.
Dear Michael, Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review. We appreciate it! You were the only guest on our Mongkok foodie tour yesterday, which made it a special one-on-one experience. Typically, when we have more guests (around 4-6 people), the tour takes about 3 to 3.5 hours due to the time spent walking and eating. I'll ensure that our tour guide manages the timing more accurately in the future. Thank you once again for your feedback! Best regards

What a fantastic afternoon we had with Kenniess (Kenny) exploring all the various venues around Mongkok - Her food knowledge was outstanding of each outlet and very well explained together with jumping outside the circle teaching us the local customs. Yes the amount of food can fill you up early but there was ample warning of this :) We certainly came away with an enlightened knowledge of this very busy area together with a visit to the Ladies Market. Kenny was just delightful & made sure at the end of the tour we knew where to catch the MTR etc. -Big Thank You Again for making the experience so good :)
Thank you, Ray, for making the day equally fabulous for Kenniess too!. As a native Hong Konger, Kenniess has more than 15 years of experience in the travel industry and is always excited to introduce local culture and food to her guests. Keep in touch and hope to see you soon again!
