Small-Group South BA Bike Tour: San Telmo, La Boca & Pto Madero

Description
The soul of Buenos Aires was born in the south — and this is where we take you. In 4 hours on two wheels, you'll ride through the neighborhoods that shaped the city: cobblestone streets, immigrant stories, tango roots, passion for football, and a hidden ecological reserve most visitors never find. We keep groups small (max 8 on shared departures) so you actually get to experience the city, not just pass through it. From 7 riders, a second guide joins — one leading, one at the rear — making sure everyone stays safe and no one misses a moment. Available as a shared small-group tour in English, or as a private experience in English, Spanish or Portuguese (Portuguese subject to availability). Choose your ride: classic city bikes, handcrafted bamboo bikes, or eBikes available at an extra charge — subject to availability, please request at time of booking. We meet at Casa Castagnino, one of the oldest buildings in San Telmo, built in the late 1700s and finish right back where we started.

Discover the origens of the city which was once the second largest slave trading market in South America and learn why the surrounding neighbourhood fell into disrepair. It all started (and ended) here.
The birth-place of Tango and disembarkation point for more than 6 million immigrants. The colours how they came to be and why the volunteer fireservice are so revered. More than this you will experience with our local friends for an insiders view of the tourist hoards below...
Designed to be the economic epi-centre of the city and built with the same brick used for the Albert Docks in England (and bollards from Sheffield foundry in Wales), this port could be considered one of the largest art installation in the world as it was only briefly used as a port before being abandoned and cordoned-off for 80 years...
Bob Ross the famous TV painter might describe the reserve as a 'happy accident', we have Juan Domingo Perón and mother nature to thank for this peaceful respite from the city of fury. (closed Mondays).
The Heart of the City, here at the site of the second founding of the city of Buenos Aires is where you will now understand better the people, city and culture of the city

Pablo was an amazing guide for us, and my wife and I felt like he was our lifelong friend at the end of the tour. We learned so much about the history, culture, and modern life in Buenos Aires. Could not recommend more highly!
Pablo and Patricio were amazing guides! The tour was thoughtful and well organized, they had a buddy system that made sure all 7 of us were safe crossing roads and navigating throughout the city. They were knowledgeable, friendly, calm, charismatic, and generous with their time and a lovely mate and alfajores treat. We were two families, four adults and three children between the ages of 12 and 15 and did a private south tour. We hit all the spots on the itinerary and were lucky with the weather on a cooler day in March. If the sun were shining it probably would’ve been much hotter. Recommend bringing shades for better visibility. They provide the bikes, helmets and water. We wouldn’t have been able to see everything we saw had we not done the tour. It took about 4 hours and the biking was relatively easy, only one small hill at the end. Highly recommend! And ask for Pablo and Patricio. And… perfect English. Thanks guys!
Fabulous tour with Pablo and Patricio! The whole family had a wonderful time — ages 12-44. Amazing experience. Highly recommend!
Excellent tour and great way to cover a lot of territory. BA is very safe and easy to bike around. Jackson was a great guide - he knows his history and tailored it to our likes.
Great way to see some of the city with mix of interesting historical facts. Jackson our guide was perfect.
Raymond was very knowledgeable and interesting guide for our tour. He’s a Kiwi who’s mad BA his home some 15 years ago. His love for his chosen home comes through as hi passionately shares gems of this vibrant and fantastic place. The cycling was great and is a perfect way to see this city in sections of interest. Don’t hesitate to choose this tour and make sure you get Raymond, a kind, knowledgeable funny guide who can make one mean Mate!
We had a very nice bike ride with Ricardo. He gave us many information about the Places we went and about local and Argentinian history and culture. We also got to know a Mate ceremony. The bikes were in a good shape as well. We recommend Biking Buenos Aires and Ricardo as a tour guide as well!
This bike tour took us through La Boca And the Caminito art area as well as Puerto Madera and Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve. We were able to get a detailed history of Argentina from our Tour Guide. This was a fantastic biking tour and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes to hear about history as well as enjoying much of nature and the beauty of Buenos Aires. Patricio made this such a delightful experience and he is a 10 out of 10 Tour Guide.
Really awesome staff-friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. They were so kind when my son was feeling unwell during the tour. Interesting history and beautiful Buenos Aires scenery! We all learned a lot and would highly recommend this company.
Great way to see the city! Raymond was full of local stories and in- depth history! Highly recommend! Boca was so fun to go to!
