Feel the cool freshness of this spring-fed cave as natural fresh water brings a breeze of cool air to our stop. Tied to Polynesian legend, this shaded grotto is a favorite spot for locals to relax and bathe.

20 min

Vaipahi Water Gardens — Stroll shaded, spring-fed paths lined with lush tropical flora—bird-of-paradise, ginger torch, lotus and more. Admire the small waterfall and cascading streams, vibrant blooms, and serene pools that make this a refreshing stop.

25 min

Faarumai Waterfalls — Be wowed by a grand 300-foot cascade pouring into a lush green valley. Follow the easy path as your guide points out hidden gems along the way, and hear the local legend tied to this magical spot.

Point Venus — Enjoy sweeping views of the long black-sand beach, a favorite spot for locals. We had a pleasant enough drive around the island, in a group of 7 people in a well presented clean van. We took the afternoon tour starting at 1:30pm (2:00pm by the time all passengers were collected) but if taking the tour in the winter months, we would opt for the morning tour instead. It was almost dark by the time we arrived at our final viewpoint (and somewhat rushed to get there) and too late for sunset.

Great tour, Great Guide

This was a great tour for seeing highlights of Tahiti. Our guide, Tamatea, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the places on the tour and particularly good at talking about the local plants and their uses in traditional Tahitian practices. All in all, highly recommended.

Well Worth the Time

Outstanding day well spent esp if you are just getting into Papeete as you will see so much and learn so much about the culture, history and people. Eric and Eduard are excellent guides. This is a great way to start your trip, then rent a car and go back to the places you might want to see more of or stop to see areas of interest. Or book another walking tour of the city. Or do this and then do the tour into the mountains.

Operator response

Dear Janice, Thank you for your kind word and amazing review. We will make sure to pass on the good words to Eric and Edouard. WE are happy to have been part of your adventure here. We really hope to see you again! Talitha

Top tour.

A wonderful and comprehensive tour. Our guide was extremely well versed on the attractions we visited. He bought us water and fruit to enjoy while we were traveling around the complete circle of the island. i had done a similar tour a few years ago on a tour sold to us on our cruise ship. This tour is a fraction of the price and far better value. The small group tour is a real winner. If your cruise line tries to frighten you about a local tour , and leaving without you, just book a morning tour. The pick up service is excellent and ran to time.

Operator response

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed review! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our comprehensive island tour and found our guide’s knowledge and thoughtful touches, like the fresh fruit and water, to be a highlight of your day. Providing excellent value and a more personalized experience through our small group tours is exactly what we strive for. We truly appreciate your tip regarding cruise ship scheduling; it is helpful for future travelers to know that a morning tour is a fantastic, stress-free way to explore the island while staying on schedule. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to see you again on your next visit to Tahiti!

A good Tahiti experience.

We really enjoyed the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, and the van was clean. The van, however, was completely full; which made things a bit "snug". Additionally, the guide seemed rushed, and we moved through some sites quickly.

Operator response

Hello! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us. I'm glad to hear that you found your guide friendly and knowledgeable, and that you appreciated the cleanliness of the van. I do want to sincerely apologize that the vehicle felt a bit too crowded and that the tour felt rushed at times. We always want our guests to feel comfortable and to have plenty of time to soak in each location, so your comments about the seating and the pacing are incredibly helpful. I'll definitely share this with the team so we can look into adjusting our schedule and group comfort. We truly appreciate your honesty, and we hope to have the chance to give you a much better, more relaxed experience in the future. Wishing you all the best! Audrey

Great way to see the different facets of Tahiti.

The tour around the island was interesting, with a number of stops along the way. The guide gave us plenty of information. However, it would have been good to have a little more time in some places, such as the water gardens. Considering the length of the tour, a quick stop for a snack somewhere would have enhanced the experience.

Operator response

Hello Dianne ! Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I'm glad you found the island tour interesting and that your guide provided you with plenty of great information throughout the journey. I really appreciate your constructive suggestions regarding the pacing. You make an excellent point—the water gardens are beautiful, and having a bit more time to explore them, along with a quick break for a snack, would definitely make the long tour more comfortable and enjoyable. I'll be sharing this feedback with our management team right away so we can look into adjusting our itinerary. Thank you again for helping us improve, and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back for an even better experience next time! Audrey
