According to records of the Christian Council, St. John, fulfilling a promise made to Jesus before he died, took the Virgin Mary to live in the ancient city of Ephesus, and in these documents it is shown that they first lived in a little house next to a church and subsequently moved to the beautiful Mount Bulbul.

Visiting the house where the Virgin Mary lived her last days should be a must for tourists in Esmirna. Very impresses me, some comments indicating being a weak attraction or even slot machine and liar. Regardless of the confirmation of the story about the house, the vast majority of people who visit it, do it with the best thoughts. I confess that I was at first out of curiosity, I am not properly a religious, but when I entered the house and stopped in front of the altar, I was invaded by crying and uncontrollable emotion, caused at least by the energy of the people who go there like me. We left with a sense of peace that we couldn’t explain. If you want to rent a car in Esmirna and go driving, it's worth it, the road is good and you can make your route in your deadlines How long to stay? Your heart will respond, but don't stop going.
