Mel was such a wonderful host. She was knowledgeable and friendly. It was great to have her guide us.
I had such a great time with Mel! I was born in Hong Kong, but she definitely knows the history better than me. The hike was very relaxing, and I loved how she stopped at different landmarks to explain the local history and culture. When we got to the top, we had a wonderful tea tasting. Even though I thought I was an expert, Mel taught me so many new things about different tea types and brewing techniques. She is so approachable and easy to talk to—it felt just like hiking with a little sister who knows more than you do! It was much more than a hike; it was a great learning experience.
Guide was very knowledgeable about Hong Kong having lived there for more than 20 years. Hike was moderate to easy in difficulty but still a good workout. Beautiful scenery of a lesser known part of Hong Kong. Enjoyed using different modes of transportation and the seafood lunch.
We absolutely loved our hike through Lamma Island yesterday. At several stops, Gabi was able to share the local stories of small villages and touch upon Hong Kong's geography, history, and culture. As someone that speaks fluent Cantonese, I was amazed to see how easily Gabi can ask a quick question passing by locals. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable hike across Lamma Island and looking to spend a day discovering the other face of Hong Kong outside the busy city centers.
We had a Saturday free and decided to join this tour. It was well organized and the guide Tobias Brandner was very friendly, accommodating and attentive. He brought us to a wonderful place for a delicious seafood lunch and further along the trek, we had dessert. This is a good walk for people who don’t normally go trekking and want a good, long walk. It is just a little bit hilly and the paths are all paved. There is lovely scenery of the bays and coastline as you walk.
