Amazing experience, great tour guide

My 12 yo and I went on this tour and absolutely loved it. David was our tour guide and was wonderfully informative, helpful and created a fun and welcoming experience. We saw many areas of Amsterdam that we may never have found on our own. We would absolutely recommend it.

Exercise Sun Great Sights and Stories👍

If you’re staying near Amsterdam Centraal Station, this tour couldn’t be more convenient—the starting point is only about a five-minute walk away. I had an excellent experience on the Small Group Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam’s Hidden Gems. Our guide, Ben, was outstanding. Young, energetic, knowledgeable, and always attentive to potential hazards along the route, he made everyone feel comfortable and safe throughout the tour. The pace was relaxed and well-balanced, allowing plenty of time to enjoy the sights without ever feeling rushed. Ben shared fascinating stories and local insights about the neighborhoods and landmarks we visited, taking us well beyond the typical tourist experience. There were also a couple of convenient stops for refreshments and bathroom breaks along the way. We were fortunate to tour on a beautiful sunny Sunday, with fewer bikes on the roads than usual, making for an even more enjoyable ride. The combination of great weather, hidden gems, and Ben’s engaging commentary made this one of the highlights of my time in Amsterdam. I would highly recommend this tour, and if you have the opportunity to go with Ben, even better. His enthusiasm, local knowledge, and genuine care for the group made the experience truly memorable.

My husband and I loved our bike tour of Amsterdam with Daniel. He taught us about the history and culture of Amsterdam as we biked through the beautiful streets. If you are reading this review do not hesitate to book this experience. It’s so worth it.

A must-do activity in Amsterdam

This tour is a great way to see and experience the city of Amsterdam. Our guide Philip took us to different parts of the city during the 3-hr tour, stopping at interesting places along the way. Philip was very knowledgeable and did a great job. We were a family of 6, including 2 younger cyclists, and Philip made sure that he stayed close to them as we all navigated the busy streets. I really enjoyed seeing parts of the city that I wouldn’t have walked to from where we were staying, but were so easy to get to on a bike. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the experience - a must do when visiting Amsterdam!

Amsterdam Historical Bike ztour

This tour involves many hours of biking along narrow, uneven and crowded areas. The tour’s Amsterdam historical content exceeded our expectations

Operator response

Hi Jim! Thank you for your review. We are delighted to hear that the historical content of the tour exceeded your expectations. Sharing Amsterdam’s rich history and heritage is one of the highlights of this experience, so we truly appreciate your positive feedback. At the same time, we are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy some aspects of the cycling route. Unfortunately, these are factors that are largely beyond our control. Amsterdam is over 400 years old and is the capital of the Netherlands. As a result, narrow streets, occasionally uneven surfaces, and busy areas with residents, cyclists, and visitors are all part of the authentic city experience. Amsterdam is also widely regarded as the cycling capital of the world. While certain areas can be busy at peak times, the city is consistently considered one of the safest places in the world for cycling thanks to its extensive cycling infrastructure and strong cycling culture. For guests who prefer a quieter and more relaxed cycling environment, we would recommend booking a countryside tour next time. Outside the city, there is far less traffic and congestion, along with beautiful Dutch landscapes and smooth, well-maintained cycling paths. Alternatively, a Sunday morning tour can be an excellent option, as the city is generally much quieter and less crowded than during the rest of the week. Thank you again for your feedback and for recognizing the quality of the historical content. We hope to welcome you back for another tour in the future.
