Overall the experience was great... it was a nice, peaceful day kayaking in the waters with an AMAZING guide, Sam. However, that's not what we were there for. My boyfriend loves interacting with animals and I booked this the morning of his birthday as a surprise, thinking he would be overjoyed to have dolphins swim right up to him when he thought we were just going kayaking. In the past, whenever I booked these types of tours, they consistently feed the wild animals in those areas to ensure they always come around, therefore the animal appearances are guaranteed. Well that's not the case with this tour. We were on the water for 2 hours and didn't see a single dolphin, not even in the distance. I just wish it would have been mentioned there was a chance no dolphins would appear.... we could have spent his birthday morning doing something else.
This was such a fun experience and the instructor was awesome! Would definitely do this again.
Will and Liam were great! We were fortunate to be able to see a few dolphins, including one pretty close by. Both guides shared historical and environmental facts about that area of the Bay, further enhancing the experience. Will and Liam also made sure our group stayed safely on course when the wind picked up!
Had a lovely morning kayaking and drifting in the waves. Saw a few dolphins as we were heading back. Winds had picked up so we ended up coming ashore a little early. Other team members meet us same took the kayaks back for us! It was really fun!
The tour guides were very educated and nice. They answered any questions we had and helped us with the kayaks. We got to see three pods of dolphins up close. I would definitely recommend this to anyone going to Virginia Beach for vacation!
The guides never arrived bad experience
Brantley our guide was wonderful, very helpful, knowledgeable was a unique experience
We saw so many dolphins! We had a great experience on our two-hour kayaking tour. The two guides, Jake and Braden, were knowledgeable and friendly.
Great staff, not as easy as it looks, but if you are in good shape it's fun if you are not the staff are there to help. I speak from experience as a 77 year old who is not in the shape I thought I was.
This was booked as a small group and they had 3 groups meet for the tour. The guides were not knowledgeable, gave us no initial safety information or facts about local flora or fauna. They took us out in waters dangerous enough to trap a kayak out in the bay. They then did not communicate clearly and had all of us caught in a net. We could not physically get back to the starting point. So we decided to beach ourselves for our safety before they had considered it. One of our group members was cut on her finger in the net and there were no safety supplies. We had no help getting back to the parking lot and were wandering around a campsite with no guide at least a 20 minute walk from where we started. They were busy trying to get the two person kayak still stuck in the bay. We also saw no dolphins
