Itinerary
On our journey from Fes to Chefchaouen, we'll make a brief stop at Barrage Sidi Chahed, Meknes, Morocco
Chefchaouen, or Chaouen, is a city in the Rif Mountains of northwest Morocco. It’s known for the striking, blue-washed buildings of its old town. Leather and weaving workshops line its steep cobbled lanes. In the shady main square of Place Outa el Hammam is the red-walled Kasbah, a 15th-century fortress and dungeon, and Chefchouen Ethnographic Museum. The octagonal minaret of the Great Mosque rises nearby.
The kasbah is a heavily restored walled fortress that now contains a lovely garden, a small ethnographic museum, and an even smaller art gallery. The ethnographic museum contains some fascinating views of old Chefchaouen, including the plaza and the kasbah; the gallery promotes the work of local artists. The views from the kasbah tower over the medina are a delight.

very good! super quiet, and keep the schedule. that's great. The guide super requested, and polite.
So my review is not only for the Chefchouen tour but all the other tours that I took with this company. Basically when I booked the Chefchouen tour one of the representative of this company reached out to me and asked me where else I am planning to visit in Morocco and once I told them my plans they sold me bunch of other tours, most of the tours was sold in more expensive prices then they are supposed to be even after selling me directly without any agency in between, so here is a breakdown and the reviews of each of the tours. - Chefchouen: this was a fun tour, our driver was very interactive and we had a great group and all of us became friends. Chefchouen itself is very touristy mountain town, no point in staying there for a night and day trip from fez or Tanger should be perfect, I would give this tour a 4 star. - Tanger half day tour : This tour cost $60 which was a little more than what it should be. The tour was good, the driver didn’t showed the American legation museum and grand socco which was in the list. I would rate it a 3.5 star. - 3 day desert tour from Fez to Marrakesh : This was a good tour but lots of driving. There was only stop in atlas mountain, in the tour description it said there will be several stops. Also there were lots of good scenic points in the Atlas Mountains and no stops was given. I would give this tour a 3.5 star. - Dinner and culture show in Fes : This one costed $45, again overpriced. The dinner and show was good with pick up and drop off. 4 star. - 1 day Marrakesh sightseeing : This was the worst of all the tour and I will give a 1 star, it costed $100. You will get the same tour in $30. The driver was not in time, have, not at all guided, he was just driving around it was an absolutely waste of time. At the second half of the day a guide showed up and started showing me the Medina which I can do it by myself, nothing that was planned he was not following until I insisted him to. The communication is good from the company and they don’t do any hotel pick up and drop off which they mentioned in the description.
We were picked up in the morning around 8am from Fez and arrived at Chefchaouen around noon. The drive is long but goes through lovely mountain scenery. The guide was nice and helped give us a high-level overview of the city. We then explored the city which was very picturesque and cool before heading back at 4pm. Overall the experience was as advertised and very enjoyable.
The van was old and extremely uncomfortable, with no air conditioning, which made the journey exhausting. More concerning, the driver was using WhatsApp while driving, which felt unsafe and unprofessional. Once we arrived in Chefchaouen, the experience didn’t improve. The tour guide provided little to no information about the destination and did not speak English, making it difficult to understand anything or engage with the tour. Overall, I would not recommend this tour due to the poor conditions, lack of safety and bad guide.
Great day spent in Chefchaouen. The appointment was very close to our Riad and the driver was on time. The ride was cahotic because the road was in poor condition. The rather muscular driving of the driver didn't help. The excursion is worth it
The excursion to Fes was great. Our guide Muha Buzga was right on time and took us safely on our drive. Our group spoked different languages but that wasn’t a problem him.
The road journey from Fez to Chefchaouen is very beautiful. We had a good experience on this trip. The only thing we had a bit of trouble with on the way back was the transport car's AC, which wasn't working well. The car was pretty hot for the entire 4 hours of the journey and that made our return pretty troubled.
Tour guide was super easy and was so much fun to be around. City tour was short and easy and still gave us time to explore on our own!
I was pleased with my driver, Mohcine, and he did a great job of picking me up in Fez to begin journey. He was attentive to my needs on the multi-hour journey and made rest stops as needed. I enjoyed my time in Chefchaouen and it I had to do it over again I would have stayed a couple of nights in the city, then journeyed on to Tangier. It was my first trip to Morocco and I found the people welcoming. The natives are eager to show you their country and genuinely extend their hospitality to visitors.
I had an amazing experience visiting the Blue City of Chefchaouen with Moha. He was more than just a driver, he was a wonderful guide and quickly became a friend. Throughout the journey, he kept us entertained with music, singing, and jokes, making the entire ride fun and memorable. His positive energy and genuine care for his guests truly stood out. Thanks to Moha, this trip became one of the highlights of my time in Morocco. I highly recommend booking your Chefchaouen excursion with him if you’re looking for a fun, professional, and unforgettable experience. Please ask for him when you book!!
