In this groundbreaking day trip, you will get to taste the best of the west of Ireland in just a few hours. Sample south Connemara, explore Inis Oirr (the smallest of the Aran Islands), and take a cruise under the Cliffs of Moher. Coming back onto the mainland, we take in arguably the finest coastal drive in Ireland along the Wild Atlantic Way back up to Galway, along with a couple of various other short stops during the day. What makes this day trip truly unique is that it is a looped route, so you are experiencing a completely different region of the West of Ireland in every hour that passes. Amazing tour. We had Richie as the guide, who was fantastic. So friendly, and helpful. Really knowledgeable about Ireland and the history. The cliffs and Aran Island are really worth visiting. The small tour size was also perfect as it gave us a lot of time to explore and ask questions. The pick up from the hotel was flawless and spot on time. Super easy to get started.
Kenny was our guide and he was exceptional! I cannot say enough great things about him and the tour. An amazing day and one to remember!
We booked the Cliffs of Moher and Aran Islands tour with Lally Tours while staying in Galway, and it was an absolute highlight of our trip. We were very blessed to have incredible weather, which made the stunning scenery even more breathtaking. What We Loved: Our Guide, Sean: Sean (apologies if spelled incorrectly!) was fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing great insights throughout the day, and was so accommodating to everyone on the tour. The Itinerary: Combining the dramatic Cliffs of Moher with a trip to the Aran Islands made for a perfect, action-packed day. The logistics were smooth and well-handled. The only minor critique is that we wished we had just a little more time to explore the Aran Islands. It’s such a beautiful place, and the time felt a bit quick! Verdict: We absolutely loved the entire tour from start to finish. If you are staying in Galway and want to see some of Ireland's most iconic landscapes, we highly recommend booking with Lally Tours!
Sean was an excellent driver and tour guide. We had a beautiful day on the island and viewing the Cliffs from the ocean side.
My family and I enjoyed a wonderful day on the Wild Atlantic Way from Galway to Doolin with our amazing guide Kenny. He was fun, energetic, and entertaining while making our drive to and from Galway. He shared not only history of the area, but geology, culture, flora/fauna, and life growing up in Ireland. The highlight of the day was our ferry ride up along the cliffs of Mohr from the water. It was a calm day with no rain so we got to see plenty of water birds including puffins. The sight of the cliffs from the water is amazing. We also ventured out to the Aran Islands, had a nice lunch, took a horse cart tour with Trevor to see most of the island and enjoy some great views, walked to the sunken church and the castle before heading back. We even enjoyed some current Irish music on the drive back and learned more about current life in the area. We loved spending time with this tour learning about the area. It was so much better and enjoyable than. driving it ourselves. The only thing we would change would be to spend the day and night in Doolin. It looks like a great little town with plenty to do.
Our tour guide Sean made lemonade out of lemons. The drizzly rainy day with high winds made it unsafe to view the Cliffs of Mohr. Sean did an excellent job of explaining Irish culture and customs and taking us to see St Bridged shrine. He was helpful, answered questions and managed to drive corkscrew roads without incident.
We had a lovely tour today to the Aran Islands. Unfortunately the weather limited the viewing of the cliffs of Moher. The wind was high and the waves were too high to see them close up. The tour guide Sean was very nice and knowledgeable. He arranged for a horse drawn buggy ride around the island and entertained us with stories about Ireland while driving us. I recommend this tour and tour company.
Loved our tour with Sean. He is a terrific driver, guide and narrator for this tour. So glad we went out to tge Aran Islands. Sean helped us find lunch, and pick an electric bike company to do on our own. Relaxing adventurous trip!

Fantastic tour! Richie made us feel welcome and special and gave us a great private tour. We especially appreciated the small touches like a stop in a grocery store for snacks and the unscripted excursion to a structure he had not visited on the island because it looked interesting. He also did a great job of allowing there to be surprises! The sunken... Wait, I'd better not spoil the next guest's surprise! One tip - the cruise to the cliffs can be rough. Lots of people were tossing their cookies. The operators do a great job of managing it but that boat was a rockin'.
