Very peaceful and informative! Was a great experience, thanks! :) Super relaxing and great cheese :) It was a great art class with lots of information, Anna was a great teacher. Thanks again :)
So good! Beautiful tranquil way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Anna gave us invaluable tips and skills before painting our scenery. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone.
This is the perfect way to spend an afternoon taking in beautiful surrounds while learning how to paint with watercolours. Anna is an excellent teacher. As well as providing an inspiring spot to paint, she taught us in a way we can continue to improve and grow on our own. Her friendly and gentle approach made it feel easy and was just what I needed (as someone who hasn’t touched a paintbrush since highschool😅). Thank you Anna🎨 Ps. Oh and the cheese platter is 11/10💃
This class was an absolute highlight of our Outback Australia trip. It was so incredibly relaxing and beautiful to be painting on site of one of the most striking rock formations in Alice Springs. We even got to see lots of Black-footed Rock Wallabies. It was easily suited to our two teen daughters and very reluctant beginner husband. Anna was such a delight and we could have spent hours more time with her. A must do and a fun souvenir of our own painting to bring home to remember our holiday!
As a beginner painter this was a really great introduction into using watercolour and Anna was really great at explaining and letting us practice before we started our final masterpiece. It was so peaceful sitting, listening to nature and painting what we could see around us.
Our host, Anna, was so thoughtful offering multiple ways for guests to be comfortable during the experience (mat, camp chair or easel!). The introduction to water colour techniques was delivered clearly in a way that was easy for a novice like me to follow. Focusing on painting was a lovely opportunity for me to appreciate so many elements of Simpsons Gap I wouldn’t otherwise have noticed. The best part is that I have a lovely watercolour painting I proudly display in my home as the souvenir from my 2025 trip to Alice Springs!
4 ladies ( 1 British guide) and 3 middle age American visitors. Our guide selected a beautiful area for our water colors session. Came with all of the things needed for this activity and she was knowledgeable and excited to give us the lesson. So we were siting, taking about everything, of course painting was a major topic but many others as well. After basic training we were served a beautiful cheese tray with locally made various crackers-delish! Then the final step was to make the painting of your choice with the knowledge made. Well, it was an awesome activity and I may take water painting as my new hobby! It’s a stress relieving and relaxing activity
Had a great introduction to water colour painting & the view was fantastic - we were warned it gets cold very quickly & it did but we were prepared
Complete beginners made to feel comfortable. Anna was an excellent at teaching techniques although challenging it was fun.
