A great Kuranda option if you have your own car. Park your car at Skyrail Smithfield Terminal and meet at the covered bus stop in front of the terminal for your coach transfer to Freshwater Station. Board the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway to journey through the magnificent Barron Gorge, with spectacular views of rainforest clad mountains and cascading waterfalls along the way. Arrive Kuranda and enjoy *Free time to explore this quaint village; *Free time varies depending on which Train/Skyrail time option you choose. After your visit to Kuranda Village It’s time to board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for an amazing journey over & through the rainforest. Board Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for your journey to Kuranda. Once aboard you will be amazed as you glide silently over & through the rainforest. There are 2 stations enroute where you can alight and enjoy a walk through the rainforest. Visit the Rainforest Discovery Centre at Red Peak Station and take in the spectacular views at the lookouts like The Edge Lookout at Barron Falls Station.
Board the famous train for an amazing journey, as you travel one of the world's most scenic rail routes, through hand-hewn tunnels and over bridges spanning spectacular gorges.

Good fun filled trip… the skywalk cable car is amazing. The only thing we didn’t like was the food at Kuranda town very less options for vegetarians

It was a spectacular tour. Loved the skyrail as well as the scenic rail. Views are unforegettable. Highly recommend the Koala gardens in Kuranda. I got a great Koala foto there (book in advance!). Even without the foto the Koalas there are most charming. The shops in the village are worth a stroll. Prices are cheaper than down at the coast. Book very early! The train is the bottleneck and it sells out rapidly. Best book one year in advance.

Staff were great, view from Skyrail was amazing, and the fact that you can stop at a couple of places on your way to Kuranda is a definite plus. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly. The train was cute and the commentary interesting, but unless you have a window seat, you will not see much of the amazing scenery, which is a great shame.
