An exciting full imersion in almost 6 centuries of history...from the first construction to the rebuilding never realised. The external decorative richness is nothing compared to the internal one. You will be overwhelmed, as Richard Wagner did, by the beauty of marbles, of the statues, of the sculpture carved by Donatello, Michelangelo and Bernini (the three great sculptors have worked here!), of the little jem, the Piccolomini Library. But you don't have to look only up, but also to look down. Indeed, one of the Cathedral's wonders is its floor which is a wonderful book of history, teology and philosophty. Don't worry: we will move "lightly" in between...

The guided tour of the Cathedral was an exciting experience. The very prepared and engaging guide accompanied us for 2 hours between the aisles but above all illustrating in great detail the beautiful floor. Highly recommended

The churches in Italy, Portugal and other European countries are always beautiful! If you go to Siena, be sure to visit this cathedral.
You cannot not enter advice ticket OPA SI PASS with museum crypt baptistery and Facade. The interior is wonderful including the marble floor (some visible only at certain times of the year). Piccolomini library to enter to see the wonderful books
