Shinjuku Night Walking Tour with Japanese Tokyo local

Description
Caution:- We visit Kabuki-cho. Kabuki cho is red light district. Some of the tour spots may not be children / teenagers friendly. We do not recommend joining the tour with children. Walkers must walk about 8000 steps. Some people blamed me because I brought them to Kabuki-cho,redlight district. But,when it comes to Shinjuku,we can not avoid Kabukicho. Shinjuku has two aspects. West area, there is Tokyo metropolitan government office, tall office buildings and over 600 years Buddhist temple. East area, there is Kabuki-cho,biggest redlight district which is very different from Amsterdam. You can see various sexual business there. Through the area, sacred Shinto shrine appears. I hope you feel the dynamism of Shinjuku.

Kazu, our Guide, was flexible to adopt to our group, very informative. We enjoyed the Tour. The Tour was more thank 3 hours, passing through alll different parts of Shinjuku. We enjoyed a Look over Tokyo from the metropolitan building, got Insights into small alleys of food Shops and learned a lot about the Red Light district.
If you’re looking for a great guided experience in Shinjuku, book this! Kazu was very kind and knowledgeable and we certainly would not have discovered all that we saw on our own. The juxtaposition of Shinto shrines and 600 year old Buddhist temples alongside the expansive red-light district was fascinating. Wear comfortable shoes and get ready for some great photo ops!
This tour is a great way to really get to know Shinjuku! We went through the red light district, the LGBTQ neighborhood, the streets of tiny bars and cafes, plus temples and shrines. Don't bring the kids.
We had a wonderful experience on this night walking tour with our local guide, Kazu. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared fascinating insights into the area’s history and hidden spots we never would’ve found on our own. He even offered to take some great photos for us during the tour. Kazu also recommended a cozy local izakaya with delicious food at very reasonable prices, which turned out to be one of our favorite meals in Tokyo. While his English isn’t perfect, it was more than enough to communicate clearly, and his authentic Japanese accent only added to the charm of the experience. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a more local, personal side of Tokyo.
