Itinerary

45 min

If you'd like, you are welcome to get off the boat an explore the charming village of Portovenere by foot. We will give you suggestions and hints of what to see and do as you explore on your own.

Pass by

Located just across from Portovenere, Palmaria is the largest island in the Ligurian region and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known for its rugged coastline, hidden caves, and crystal-clear waters, it offers a striking natural contrast to the nearby villages. From the sea, you’ll enjoy views of steep cliffs, old quarries, and lush Mediterranean vegetation — a peaceful and scenic spot along the Gulf of Poets.

Pass by

Tino is a small, rugged island located just beyond Palmaria, at the entrance to the Gulf of La Spezia. Steeped in history, it’s home to the ruins of a 7th-century monastery dedicated to San Venerio, the patron saint of Gulf sailors. Though access is restricted due to its status as a naval zone, from the boat you’ll enjoy stunning views of its wild cliffs, dense vegetation, and the historic lighthouse that still guides ships today.

Pass by

Tinetto is the smallest of the three islands off the coast of Portovenere, but it holds great historical and natural value. This tiny rocky islet is home to the remains of an ancient monastic settlement dating back to the 6th century and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site along with Palmaria and Tino. From the boat, you’ll see its dramatic rocks emerging from the sea, often surrounded by seabirds and bathed in clear, turquoise waters — a peaceful and striking final point along the Gulf of Poets.
