Visit the historical site of Matavai bay where European navigators stopped on arrival on Tahiti including Captains Cook and Bligh Its also a beautiful black sand beach much appreciated by the Tahitians
there are approximately 130 waterfalls on Tahiti and Moorea, here you can easiky walk to the base of this 100m high permanent waterfall, nestled amongst luxuriant rain forest. Vaimahuta is one of 3 waterfalls in the valley, see how the polynesians live when they are not in the urban area.
Once used for Tahitian burial rituals by the Teva clan, the waters ofthe Vaipahi waterfall were forbidden for daily use. Since 2010 the gardens are open to the public and contain a host of luxuriant tropical flowers and foliage. Pools created by a nautural spring contain Water lilys Lotus lilys Koi carp, Tilapia fish and Sacred freshwater eels
Discover this popular black sand beach used by locals for surfing and by the local high school for surf lessons, the beach has an incredible view of the mountains
Resulting from a lava flow, now full of cool fresh water, Vaipoiri is one of 4 caves, popular with Tahitians for swimming the water is cool and refreshing.

Exceptional tour guide. Lydia is a wealth of knowledge about the island, its people, and the history. She’s fun and funny! Saw so much we wound have never seen otherwise!
Tahiti is expensive, but this tour represented good value for money. Lydia provided a detained and informative commentary that included history, botany, geography, volcanologist, culture, with lovely scenery thrown in. Comfortable vehicle seating 7 people. ,
Our 4 and a half hour island tour with Lydia was an outstanding experience, her knowledge of the island of Tahiti, it's people, places, plants and animals is extraordinary She has a great sense of humour and is an exceptionally informative Tour operator I would thoroughly recommend her tour to anyone, we went to 6 stops on the island which in my opinion showcased Tahiti's best attributes Lydia's vehicle was very comfortable and she provided water, fruit snacks and insect repellent which was very welcome Many thanks for a great afternoon it was truly informative and we're so glad that we did the tour with you

Excellent and comprehensive tour of Papeete. Excellent and descriptive narration of sights and history of Tahiti and other islands. Driver was safe and cautious the entire time, even in midst of heavy traffic. Her vehicle was comfortable and cool with more than adequate room. Kudos to Lydia of tours of Tahiti. I would definitely book her services again and recommend her to others.
