Description
This small-group walking tour (max 10 people) is designed for travelers who want a more complete and personal introduction to Seville, beyond standard large-group or free tours. After meeting in one of the city’s most iconic squares, your guide will provide a clear and engaging overview of Seville’s history and culture to help you understand the city today. You’ll see key landmarks such as the Cathedral, the Royal Alcázar of Seville, the University and the Plaza de España, while learning the stories and historical events that shaped them. This outdoor experience is ideal at the beginning of your stay. The small-group format allows for a relaxed pace, interaction and time for questions. Please note that entrance tickets are not included, as all monuments are visited from the outside. Plaza de España may be closed due to concerts or weather alerts.

Introduction of the tour and explanations about the City Hall building, example of the importance of the city in the 1500's.
Description of the outdoors and previous mosque, as well as the Giralda Tower. Our visitors will fully understand how different cultures and religions affected the nowadays city of Seville.
Seville as Port of the Indies, the trade centre of the 'New World'.
The oldest Royal Palace still in use of whole Europe. From the outdoors our visitors will understand the uniqueness of this place used by rulers since the 1000's.
The last building built by the Muslims in the city, a watchtower that became the entry to the city from the ocean.
The old Tobacco factory building built in the 1700's is an example of the industrial architecture in the city.
The Ibero-american exhibition meant a huge change in the urbanism in the city and the best example is the host country pavilion, the Plaza de España.

We met Antonio who guided us through some of the great sights of Seville using his expert knowledge of its history and cultures. As it was only try wife and I we had a real exclusive experience and Antonio was everything we could have wanted from a tour guide.

We had a great tour of the city with Carlos. He did a wonderful job explaining the history of the city, and how it has grown and changed over time. However, be aware that this tour does NOT go inside the cathedral or the alcazar, or it would be twice as long. The tour was a great length as is.

Overall a fantastic tour of Seville in a small group and a very funny and knowledgeable guide. Carlos made the experience thoroughly memorable and was kind enough to recommend so many places to visit after the tour. I’d recommend to do this as soon as you land in Seville as it will set the tone for your vacation. All the places you see and visit after will make sense in terms of the history and culture behind it. Really really enjoyed my time. It is a bit of a walk so be prepared , carry water and just immerse yourself with all sorts of questions, Carlos will ensure you have a fabulous experience.

Antonio was very knowledgeable and made sure there were stops to sit, use the bathroom, and learn about the city in the shade. He had answers to all my questions and was a great tour guide!

We enjoyed this small and short tour of Seville. Martha was our tour guide and she arranged it nicely. She explained every place, the history of it and gave an overview. This is a must to do. The only regret was : Due to some concert we could not visit Plaza de Espanola.
