We fly from June to November in Kogatende. For a lifetime experience such as this, you want to make sure you fly with the best. Since the 1970s, we’ve been crafting exceptional balloon safaris and the memories we create are a combination of our long experience, our attention to detail and our desire to make your flight with us truly extraordinary. Each flight is a different journey dictated by the direction of the wind, where the sights and sounds rise from the ground to meet you. We know where we’ve started but we don’t know where we will return to earth. This is part of the adventure. Sometimes the basket will be gently brushing the tips of the grass and sometimes it will be climbing, climbing through the layers of air until you’re high enough to see the curve of the horizon, painted gold and pink by the early sun. Each flight lasts for approximately 1 hour and we celebrate with a champagne toast before enjoying a sumptuous 'full-english' breakfast under an acacia tree.

We collect from all camps and lodges that are within reasonable reach (up to 2hrs drive or 40km) of our launch sites within Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We MUST know your camp/lodge location in order to confirm your booking.

Good Trip and Deus was really helpful with some personal issues 😍
The hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti is a magical experience and was a highlight of our trip to Tanzania. The entire process was run exceptionally professionally and smoothly. We also felt that we were in good hands, with our comfort and safety a top priority. The entire team was warm and welcoming. The experience itself of being up high in the balloon is hard to describe. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Upon landing and the subsequent additional movement on the ground, with the basket turning on its side, my glasses were lost somewhere in the very thick and high grass. Given the impossibility of finding them I was ready to accept the loss, and not let this effect my wonderful experience. The Serengeti Balloon Team were determined to find my glasses and miraculously found them approximately 50 feet or so from where the basket came to a stop. Of course I was very grateful. This demonstrates further the dedication of the team. I recommend this amazing experience to everyone!
Everything was more than I expected, truly exceptional! From the instructions the evening before as to what to anticipate, timely pick up, seeing a honey badger cross the road in the dark on the drive to meet the balloons for take off (not part of the package lol), an impeccable and friendly ground crew, a skilled and fun pilot (Blake), and gorgeous weather all made tthe experience unforgettable. The champagne celebration after landing was a lovely touch, and the breakfast was delicious! The whole experience was flawlessly organised from start to finish. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

The experience was outstanding. The organization is very organized and efficient with an emphasis on safety. The quality of the ride was incredible. We had a wonderful time. The breakfast was the best breakfast I have had since I have been in Africa.
Awesome experience that I didn’t want to do but my family did and I didn’t want to be left behind. And I am so glad I did it.
It was amazing experience, I saw a lot of animals than I expected, beautiful sunrise and and lots of animal sightings, nice breakfast in the middle of nowhere, I will recommend it to anyone who is planning to visit Tanzania to do The ballooning with Serengeti balloon safari
What an incredible experience! Zumo was an exceptional pilot, making the flight both relaxing and unforgettable. Every member of the ground team was so friendly and welcoming, the champagne celebration after landing was a lovely touch, and the breakfast was phenomenal. The whole experience was flawlessly organised from start to finish. I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough.
Excellent food and service and the setting was perfect
The balloons were very large, fitting 16 people, but still small enough you could speak with the pilot and ask questions. Our pilot John was very kind and knew so much about the animals and the balloon, I would recommend.
