Detailed explanation the exterior and facade.
After crossing the Jewish Quarter, we stop at Saint James Square where the City Hall of Barcelona is located and the Palau de la Generalitat.
The last portion of the walking tour, we visit the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar - exterior explanation. Then, we will have a cofee break when you'll enjoy a warm or cold complimentary beverage.
After the walking tour you will head over, in a comfortable transport, to Montjuic, site of the 1929 International Exposition and the 1992 Olympic Games, and you will see one of the best viewpoints to see the city.
As we make our way toward Montjuïc, we’ll have the chance to admire a truly amazing sight from the vehicle: The Face of Barcelona. Rising dramatically in the distance at the port, this enormous sculpture captures immediate attention. Formed from a cascade of letters and symbols that seem to float in the air, each letter is uniquely placed, merging to create the silhouette of a colossal human face, giving the impression that the city itself is gazing toward the future.
Once we pass The Face of Barcelona, we’ll approach another of the city’s iconic landmarks: The Columbus Monument. From the vehicle, we’ll see its towering 60-meter column rising majestically above the port area. At its peak, the statue of Christopher Columbus stands tall, pointing toward the sea, as if inviting travelers to explore new horizons and reminding us of Barcelona’s historical significance as a starting point for great voyages of discovery.
Once we pass the Columbus Monument, we’ll head up Montjuïc toward one of the most stunning viewpoints in Barcelona: The Miramar Viewpoint. As we ascend, we’ll stop to fully appreciate the breathtaking beauty of the city. From this vantage point, we’ll have the perfect opportunity to capture stunning photographs of Barcelona’s skyline, the all set against the backdrop of the surrounding hills.
After visiting Miramar Viewpoint, we’ll continue our journey up Montjuïc, where we’ll catch sight of another of Barcelona’s cultural gems: The Miró Foundation. From the vehicle, we’ll be able to appreciate the striking architecture of this renowned art museum, perched on the hillside overlooking the city.
Once we pass the Miró Foundation, we’ll continue our journey up Montjuïc and soon come across the Olympic Stadium. From the vehicle, we’ll be able to appreciate the grandeur of this historic stadium, which hosted the 1992 Summer Olympics. The iconic structure, with its impressive façade and surrounding area, stands as a testament to Barcelona’s Olympic legacy. On certain days, the stadium is open to the public, and if we’re lucky, we may even get a glimpse of the interior. Visitors can explore the stadium and its surroundings, but perhaps most intriguing of all is the Olympic Museum, located nearby. This museum offers fascinating exhibits on the history of the Olympic Games, showcasing the spirit of competition and the athletic achievements that defined the 1992 Barcelona Games.
Once we pass the Olympic Stadium, our journey will take us to the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC), an iconic building that stands majestically on the Montjuïc hill
After seeing MNAC we will pass by the famous Casa Batlló, one of Antoni Gaudí's most iconic works, located on Passeig de Gràcia. This masterpiece of Catalan modernism is known for its undulating, colorful façade, evoking natural shapes like bones and dragon scales. Although we won’t stop, we’ll have the opportunity to admire it from our private transport, allowing us to appreciate its stunning architecture in all its glory as we continue our tour of the city.
We’ll make a stop at La Sagrada Família, Antoni Gaudí’s most iconic masterpiece and one of the most visited monuments in the world. Although we won’t go inside, the exterior alone is breathtaking and offers plenty to admire. As you walk around the basilica, your guide will explain the symbolism and meaning behind its three façades: the intricate Nativity Façade, full of life and detail; the stark and powerful Passion Façade; and the still-in-progress Glory Façade, which will one day become the main entrance. You’ll learn how Gaudí blended nature, geometry, and faith into the design, and why construction—begun in 1882—is still ongoing today. It’s a chance to appreciate the scale and vision of this unique structure up close.
After a ride from Gothic Quarter, on our private air-conditioned vehicle, you will have a short road trip seeing the marvels of Barcelona. From our minibus, you’ll watch the Ramblas, the Columbus Monument, and Barcelona’s Mediterranean Sea. Then we will stop at Monjuïc to have a great view of the city and we will pass through the Barcelona's Olimpic Avenue. You'll continue to Park Guell on Tibidabo mountain to admire this marvelous city gardens. Then, we will do a walking tour. **Please, note that the price of the tour doesn't include Park Guell's ticket price. Ticket to Park Guell is 10€ per person. You'll pay us for it after the walking tour. We will be in charge of getting them. You don't have to worry about external ticket purchasing**
La Pedrera (Casa Milà) is one of Antoni Gaudí’s architectural masterpieces and a key example of Catalan Modernism. Completed in 1912, the building stands out for its undulating stone façade and intricate wrought-iron balconies inspired by natural forms. Visitors can explore a restored early 20th-century apartment, the Espai Gaudí museum located in the attic, and the building’s iconic rooftop terrace—famous for its sculptural chimneys and panoramic views over Barcelona. A visit to La Pedrera offers a deep insight into Gaudí’s innovative design approach and remains an essential stop for anyone interested in architecture, design, or the cultural heritage of the city.

Nuria was a great guide - explaining both the history, with her personal flavor added as a born and raised resident of the area. Highly recommend the tour - included a lot more than we expected, including a walk through the old town. Would recommend to all. Useful Note: the entry tickets for the Sagrada Familia and Park Guell are secured in advance, however you will be expected to pay for them at cost, on top of the cost of the tour.
