The Selogriyo Rice Terrace with Hindu temple, Visit the beautiful and remote Selogriyo Temple and trek through the surrounding rice terraces. Selogriyo Location at Magelang area bottom of Mount Sumbing, in the middle of Giyanti ridge and Condong ridge. through the iconic rice terraces, which grow paddy, beans, corn, and more. This was an absolutely amazing tour! We started with the waterfall as Mount Merapi was visible in the morning and it was spectacular! Walking down to the waterfall is a bit slippy, but Seta was very kind, helpful and patient. Crossing the river was great fun and Seta took loads of great pictures and videos then and throughout the day that will make for fun memories. After the waterfall, we trekked through beautiful, unspoiled rice terraces which were spectacular and took lots of photos of the landscape and even some cows grazing. Seta explained all about the rice-growing process and the other crops we saw as we walked and drove through the landscape. He answered our very many questions and found us a great lunch spot which was very picturesque and had great food :)! This was an incredible tour and a great break from the bustle of Yogyakarta! It was a spectacular day with a kind, funny and informative guide who made a wonderful experience even better!

An absolutely amazing tour and Seta is a wonderful tour guide! We started with the waterfall because the Merapi was visible, which was an amazing sight before trekking down to the waterfall. It was so much fun to walk through the water and get close to the waterfall! Our second stop was the rice fields, which we walked through and enjoyed the many great vistas. The temple at the top was cute and nicely quiet. Seta was a very careful, helpful, pleasant, fun, and interesting guide to spend the day with. He took several pictures and some short videos, which he turned into a longer video, and shared all of those with us afterwards, which was a nice touch. For those who like beautiful nature and some light hiking, I highly recommend this tour!

Deep into the desas outside of Jogjakarta, we walked amidst the Selogriyo terraced padi fields to reach the temple. We get to see how the villagers live, amidst their daily activities. Stopped for drinks and snacks of home-grown/roasted coffee, boiled cassavas and fried bananas at a kiosk overlooking the valley of pagi fields was really amazing.

We had a wonderful time! The waterfall hike and volcano vistas were incredible. The rice fields were also stunning. We had a fantastic time with Salma. He was engaging, knowledgeable, kind, and a fantastic and safe driver. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to escape the city hustle into the quiet paradise of Indonesian countryside!

We had a very good experience on this tour. Our guide Bima was very attentive to our needs and shared interesting insights about the region, its nature, culture and history. The first stop of the tour was a trek to Selogriyo Temple, taking us through stunning rice terraces before arriving at this serene temple. The second stop was a waterfall which offered a breathtaking views with the Merapi volcano in the background. We also went down to see the waterfall up close. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the beautiful nature surrounding Yogyakarta :)
