Easy to book! Travel guides were kind, knowledgeable and comfortable to be with as a group of 3 women. They spent extra time accommodating my daughter with special abilities. We will return our next visit for the experience and of course the amazing sea glass finds!!!!
This family-run business is an absolute gem! From our driver—who gave us fantastic local advice and recommendations—to our excursion guide, who treated us to a fascinating history lesson, every single penny was well worth it. We had a large group of ten, but the staff was so attentive that it felt like it was just the two of us. The highlight was definitely scouring Sea Glass Island for potential jewelry pieces. A solid 10/10 recommendation!
Best experience- Been on our WISH LIST FOR YEARS !! ..This place is uncredible- the pictures don't begin to show how much SEA GLASS there is -- totally amazing !... It was the fastest 3 hours, such a cool experience, can't wait to create beautiful mosaic art with all of our finds. Guides were super great- the ride was quick and easy- the communication was very clear. If you don't have a rental- have a ride planned to take you back when you return-- !
Our 7 year old was very excited to explore the island, learn about sea glass and take samples home to his friends. A different experience we enjoyed very much. Tour guides were great.
Our guides were amazing. They were friendly and helpful and made the whole experience what it was. They explained what to do and answered any questions we had. We loved this excursion and had a lot of fun looking at all the seaglass.
We took this excursion on a Sunday, which also happened to be the day of the World Cup final. I’m not sure if that contributed to the situation, but it certainly seemed like the operation was very short-staffed that day. Our driver arrived late because, as he explained, several coworkers had called in sick, leaving him to handle everything on his own. After arriving, he had to drop off a friend to pick up a boat, but that person didn’t stay to help. As a result, our guide was left to manage the boat, the kayaks, and the guests entirely by himself. Once we reached the island, he showed us where to find beautiful blue sea glass and got us settled. However, he then had to leave for more than 30 minutes to pick up another family for the next tour, leaving us alone on the island. That was a little unsettling. There also weren’t enough life jackets for everyone, and instead of providing proper dry bags, we were given a plastic ice bag for our belongings. Thankfully, I had brought my own dry bag. I want to be clear that I don’t fault the guide. He was doing the work of several people and remained friendly and professional despite being put in an impossible situation. My disappointment is with the management. When multiple employees called out, the owner or manager should have stepped in to support the operation or reduced the number of tours. The excursion itself has great potential, but the lack of staffing and preparation made what should have been a relaxing adventure feel stressful.
One of my favorite excursions. Whole island has sea glass. Tour guy Rich was awesome and helped gather sea glass for our group.
Sooooo the meet up place did seem a little sketchy BUT, it was the right place and the guide. Jeffrey met up with us at the dock and took us out to the island for a full beach of sea glass to pick from. He supplied the tool for digging and a plastic bag for your sea glass. He also provided cold water since you're there for 2 hours in the sun. There are a few shady spots to relax and you can also cool off in the water. Jeffrey was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable about the island and it's surroundings. We were very lucky to have Jeffrey as our guide.
My friend and I rode in the boat while others went in kayaks...that was nice to have that option. The guides were all very friendly. Would recommend.
The amount of sea glass is shocking. We truly enjoyed ourselves and the guides were kind and informative. We would definitely do this again.
