Visit the original enamel factory of Oskar Schindler in Krakow, where many Jews saved their live during the World War II. The place has become very popular among people from around the world, especially after the Spielberg’s movie called Schindler’s List was released in 1993.The factory has been turned into museum to pay tribute to the brave deeds of Oskar Schindler and to recreate the atmosphere of Krakow during the World War II. Due to many interactive exhibitions and plenty of historical photographs and objects, you will feel as you were one of the old-time Krakow citizens. Additionally, our professional local guide will introduce you to the historical background and interesting facts from Oskar’s life. The Tour begins with an assembly at the Schindler’s Factory entrance, located at Lipowa 4, in Zablocie district. There, you will meet with a professional local guide, with whom you’ll visit the museum for 1,5 hour. The guide will introduce you to the story of Oskar Schindler and explain the historical background of the war period in Krakow. The museum’s interior will let you feel as you were walking the streets of Krakow from occupation times.

Visiting the factory was a great experience. The reasons I gave four stars not five are: we took an expensive guided tour through the museum and there should be eight, not 12 or 14 people in a group; there was not enough time to see what we wanted to see because the guide was curating the experience too much; and the guide had a very heavy accent and spoke softly. When I asked her if she could speak up, she told me to come closer to her when I felt she could’ve spoke a little more loudly, especially because there are people chattering all around, and it is hard to hear. So I would not recommend spending the extra for the guided tour. I would just go in and do it on your own and see if you can get an audio guide or something like that. I also thought she could’ve done more to relate the what we were seeing to the movie.

Very disappointed. When we arrived there were people everywhere and we were ages trying to find a guide for Krakow Tours. Eventually we got sorted but our group size was way too big. The guide wasn't very clear, she kept moving her microphone around, hence we couldn't hear her properly. Also she was so slow that groups who started their tours after us were overtaking us! Towards the end of the tour many of our group including ourselves had had enough and we went on ahead and checked out early. Definitely room for lots of improvement. As it stands I wouldn't recommend it.

Lera was an excellent guide, very friendly and helpful. Communication prior , during and after the excursion was excellent. The tour guide who took us around the museum was excellent and very informative. Good to have same guide to both sites. Even though we had a very early start (0555) it was worth it.

Krakow direct arranged for us to met our guide outside the story and we were a group of about 20, she spoke very good English and was very informative about Poland and obviously Schindler. It is what you’d expect busy but she managed to find spots we could stand and listen to the history of that era. She pointed out pictures and told stories that you wouldn’t get if you’d gone solo. Highly recommend. As part of the trip you can visit the art museum (was part of the factory and on the grounds)

This tour met all our expectations. The story it tells is tragic and important. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave insights into the invasion of Poland and consequences for the population, ultimately leading to the story of the Schindlerjuden. The exhibits also told the story well, but could do with being updated as it felt like an older museum in need of a refresh. But overall a very worthwhile experience.

Although I have not seen the movie, I've heard so much about Schindler and his list. I really looked forward to learning more about the story and seeing the factory in the place where he showed compassion to people in the face of man's inhumanity to man. BE AWARE...This is not what this 'visitors site' is.... It's basically a museum about the Nazi occupation of Krakow. Although it's filled with lots of information and photos and archival footage, it is not well organized and you never know which way to turn, or if you misses something vital. I kept waiting for information about Schindler and how he treated people, maybe a tour of the factory... but there was only one small room that talked about him at all. I totally would NOT recommend eating your time here unless you want the Nazis in Krakow history rather than the Schindler's factory history.
We arrived at the requested time for this tour but were told it would be delayed as we were waiting for some late people. It was quite a crowded place and no where to sit while waiting. After around 25 minutes we asked for some information and were told we needed to wait a few more minutes. People in the group started to get restless and frustrated and said they would go in alone. At this point the tour guide started the tour - around 40 minutes late. The museum itself is more about the history of WW2 and only a small part about Schindler himself. The tour guide was knowledgeable and did her best to guide the group. However it was very crowded with many groups and people who were not part of the paid group just tagged along so made it even more difficult to get around. We would suggest going independently is better than part of a group.
A great tour to do while in Krakow. Our guide-a blonde lady-was excellent and covered a lot of history in a short period of time.
