I’d start by saying that the service was great, from both the agency and the staff on the ship. This was booked and hosted by a travel agency who was excellent (Mr Kevin at Local Tours Vietnam). Very responsive and available, could not recommend their service more. I got a partial refund back for the trip. Tl;dr - take your money elsewhere unless they improve drastically, or pay at least quarter to half the price as that’s what it probably cost. Unhygienic in some respects, bad food, sparse ship with the feeling of not a lot of activities (not completely true as there were a lot of opportunities, just didn’t feel welcoming in my opinion due to atmosphere and timing) The actual cruise is the problem. It looks quite pretty and modern from the outside, including the rooms. The feel disappears when you’re on the ship. Everything feels quite sparse, and it doesn’t feel like there’s much to do. The hygiene of the ship was questionable, and so was the food. For the higher price you pay, the ‘fine dining experience’ was everything but. In saying that, there was plenty of food, you would not go hungry. We were given part of a chicken skewer that was raw. Not great, but more than happy for them to chuck it back on the grill to cook through, which they did. The second time it returned, some parts of it was still raw. This is coming from someone who is happy to eat slop and undercook pork/chicken/fish to make it more tender. The chicken was raw, no questions about it. There were also some extra guests at breakfast if you catch my drift. We came back from kayaking to try to use the jacuzzi in the afternoon, but found that it was dirty. Only a minor issue, possibly from previous guests (1 group before us even though they tried saying two groups came through), and they responded quite quickly to try to drain/clean it, but could not use it in the end as there was no time to do so (draining took 15-30 minutes, without including fill up time. Time slot only 1 hour).

Scarlet Pearl - absolutely faultless and amazing from start to finish . Staff are fantastic and make you feel welcome and make the journey very pleasant . Food - all 5 star meals like eating at a Michelin Star restaurant
