Was very educational Ilearning about Tuscany wines and different foods. Had 3 children and they were kept entertained.
Amazing introduction to Siena and Tuscan wine! We did not have to walk too much so this tour would be great for older people. Our tour guide Julianna was lovely- so friendly and knowledgeable. You get a good variety or food and wine and we learned so much! Highly recommend!
Georgia was such an amazing host, she gave us lots of information but in a very funny and informal way. There was a great variety of foods to try, well worth it for the money. Time was spent inside learning whilst eating then we had a 45 minute walk through the streets with more food and information. Thoroughly enjoyed it, Thank-you. Jenni and Lynn
4 of us thoroughly enjoyed this tour which taught us about wine and food of Siena. Our guide, Georgina, was friendly and informative in a comfortable way while we sampled wines and food before a walk around the neighborhood. We enjoyed some street food and finished with a cafe and some pastries. It was a perfect 2 hours!
This tour was the perfect blend of history, culture, and tasting of food and wine! We started with information and tasting the local food and wine. Heading out of the wine school for the second hour to walk and learn about the Siena. The food and wine tastings were exceptional, offering a true taste of Tuscan flavors—from cheeses and cured meats to delicious regional wines and snacks.
We enjoyed our tour with knowledge and friendly Elio! We were a family of four, including two teenagers, one too young to enjoy wine... but Elio made sure he had a "tasting" of Italian sodas, which he loved! We spent the first hour in the Tuscan Wine School and tasted three wines, a variety of cheeses and 3-4 cured meats, as well as brushetta and crostini with olive tapenade. We also learned about and tasted quality olive oil and balsamic. Then we took to the streets for a traditional stuffed pizza and gelati. Elio helped us learn about labeling on the bottles and how to pick a quality product. He also helped explain the store signage too and how to tell if a product is made in-house. We immediately started using this information to begin purchasing products in Siena. The tour ended with a tasting of the traditional sweet wine, Vin Santo.
This was a fantastic tasting of wines and local bruschetta, cheese, and salumi, with a brief walking tour to try additional treats afterwards. It was a very enjoyable couple of hours. Highly recommend!
The yioung lady (Ambra) was very well informed and brought a great sense of fun and humour to the experience. My only criticism is that I expected more of a tour of Sienna itself.
Elio explained the wines and food choices in fine fashion. All were excellent. We enjoyed our tour around the area with some history mixed in as well as the stuffed pizza. Well worth it! Kudos to Elio!
We loved our wine/food and tour guide. She was so knowledgeable and very kind and funny. Loved the wines, the olive oil and the balsamic vinegar...not to mention the food we tasted on the tour. So worth it!!
