Itinerary
First stop is at Firostefani's Blue Dome which is one of the most picturesque blue domes in Santorini. You get to enjoy the view of the volcano, the cruise ships and the village of Imerovigli.
Cliffside village with stunning views, white-washed buildings, and a romantic atmosphere.
Profitis Ilias (30 minutes)The highest spot of the island (567 meters) is located between Pyrgos and Kamari. The Mountain's name is Profitis Ilias (Prophet Elijah), coming from the Monastery with the same name on its peak. From this vantage point, you will enjoy a striking view of the entire island, from the patchwork agricultural plains to the hilltop village of Oia.
Pyrgos casteli. Pyrgos was built on the top of a hill and was until the early 1800, the capital of the island. The village is composed of traditional houses built around the Venetian Castle and the small streets follow the shape of the hill. Climbing from the square up to the castle of Pyrgos, the stone houses crowd more densely together and the labyrinth of narrow vaulted lanes becomes more tortuous. The village has many churches, around 33, but the most famous is the Monastery of Profitis Ilias, where a small collection of ethnographic material and old icons are exhibits. Pyrgos is a place that certainly worth a visit and dedicate enough time to the most fabulous panoramic view of the island.
• Megalochori traditional village (45 minutes) with its typical traditional Cycladic houses and neoclassic buildings. It is located between Pyrgos, Emporio and Akrotiri at a distance of less than 10 km from Fira. It is made of hundreds of small white painted houses built the one upon the other and it is characterized by its beautiful churches. It combines traditional architecture with vaulted houses and calderimia (stone-cobbled narrow pathways) and a lively community with a fairly large permanent population
Perissa black beach(15minutes)Perissa is one of Santorini best beaches. Next to Emporio village a long dark sand endless beach. A feature that makes Perissa unique (besides the crystal water and the smooth sand) is the fact that is the best protected beach from the summer Aegean winds (called "Meltemia" in Greek). Perissa lies right next to ProfitisIlias Mountain, totally protected from the North. Magnificent beach for swimmimg.
Red Beach in Akrotiri, Santorini, is a stunning natural wonder known for its striking red-hued cliffs and unique volcanic sands. The beach is famous for its dramatic landscape, created by the iron-rich volcanic minerals. It's a popular destination for tourists seeking picturesque views and a one-of-a-kind beach experience.

I have a travel business just for small groups of women. We spent 10 days in Greece and I chose Roadtales as our tour guide while on Santorini. Aris was extremely helpful even as I was planning the trip! Communication was excellent. Once we arrived on the island he took very good care of us. He gave wonderful suggestions on where to go and where to eat. He showed us the beauty of the island and talked about the culture and history. We stayed in touch using WhatsApp the whole time we were there. It was truly like having a friend in Santorini. I can’t say enough good things about Aris and his drivers. I highly recommend them!
I traveled with a group from Kindred Women Travel. Our tour guide, Aris, was an amazing source of information for Santorini. He showed us spectacular views of the island while avoiding crowds and provided historical backgrounds to what we were seeing. He also adjusted our tour to accommodate special requests and help us make reservations at local restaurants. Highly recommend!
We had an amazing experience with Aris! He is incredibly nice, attentive, and flexible with our group's needs. Instead of rushing through a script, he took his time and were so accommodating, ensuring we saw all the most interesting sites at our own pace. Highly recommend!
Our private tour with our guide Aris was exceptional, truly a five star experience from start to finish. Aris was knowledgeable, warm, and attentive, making us feel completely at ease, while ensuring we experience the best that Santorini has to offer. Throughout the day Aris seamlessly took us to Santorini's many iconic sites including Akrotiri where he arranged for us to have an archeologist guide us through history. We visited many beautiful places all tailored to our interests that included Oia, Emporia, and Megalochori. We also visited a beautiful family owned winery and had a lovely dinner over looking the sea in Oia. Aris made sure to pick the perfect restaurant since it was my husband's birthday . We highly recommend you request Aris as your tour guide when visiting Santorini
We had the very best tour ever. Our tour guide was fabulous. He took us to all the great places. We had a waterfront restaurant to eat at so delicious. We went to see where the monks make things to sell and and a church out of the way. We could not have asked for more. This tour was more than we could have ever hoped for.
We feel so fortunate to have had such an amazing experience with Aris! He gave us the flexibility to do whatever we wanted and showed us all the highlights of Santorini, visiting paradise beach for the kids, and exploring highest point, visited beautiful Art exhibit and several other villages, Oia was our favorite and Aris gave us time to shop and explore and have a fabulous dinner. We are still is awe over what we accomplished in a day with Aris, especially since we were on a cruise ship. We highly recommend Aris, as his local knowledge is amazing and in a very comfortable van, we just loved exploring Santorini with Aris and lucky to have had such an outstanding spectacular experience to see the best of the best os Santorini in a day! Hope to see you and visit Santorini again! Thank you, Aris. Sherrie, Bob, Nadia & Kyle
Ares was fantastic!! He knew so much and was very informative and not monotone. He did it his way and was captivating and funny!!
Thank you Ares for such a beautiful tour and a wonderful day. You made us feel like part of your family and showed us so many beautiful things. Our lunch was amazing right on the water. Fabulous service with very reasonable prices. Without you our tour would. Have been a big flop. Thanks for the kindness and patience you gave us and treating us like family. Until we see you again
Wonderful experience with Felipe. He is very knowledgeable and entertaining. He was able to get us to all the major sites without experiencing the crowds. Great lunch and scenic location at the Good Heart. I would highly recommend the tour for a small group. Be aware that getting from the cruise ship to the island due to the tendering process can be challenging and time consuming, but the tour operator was in constant contact and accommodating. Felipe even met us at the port to help us navigate the cable car experience. One item to note, that the tour usually ends in OIA, and you can arrange your own transportation back to the ship or the tour operator will send a vehicle to transport you back to the ship location for an additional cost.
Fantastic private tour of the South with Aris. He was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. We hit many highlights and got plenty of amazing photos. Would recommend RoadTales/Aris to anyone visiting Santorini.
