While there, you can admire landmarks such as the Maritime Museum, the ruins of a Venetian fortress, traditional cave houses, and elegant neoclassical mansions that reflect the village’s rich seafaring heritage. If you choose an afternoon departure, you may also witness Oia’s world-renowned sunset. Please note that during high season the village can be very crowded.

30 min

Optional stop - Discover Imerovigli, the highest village on the caldera, known for its peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking panoramic views. Stroll through its quiet lanes lined with whitewashed houses and blue-domed churches. From here, you can admire the iconic Skaros Rock, a dramatic volcanic outcrop that once held a medieval fortress and offers spectacular photo opportunities over the Aegean Sea.

30 min

The beaches offer several seaside restaurants, cafés, and bars where you can enjoy a drink or a meal while taking in the coastal scenery. Umbrellas and sunbeds are available for rent, and in some beach clubs they may be provided free of charge if you purchase food or beverages. Water sports activities are also available nearby for those looking for a more active experience.

Pyrgos is a historic hilltop village often considered one of the island’s most authentic settlements. Its 16th-century Venetian castle sits at the highest point, reflecting the defensive architecture that shaped the village’s design, with narrow winding alleys arranged in a circular pattern. Don't miss touring with Demi; trust her to expertly guide you in Santorini

Wonderful tour covering the major areas of Santorini. The tour operator, Giorgia, was flexible and quick to respond. Panagiotis, our skillful driver, quickly and easily maneuvered us in and out of tight spaces all over the island. The best part of the tour, however, was Demi, our expert tour guide. Demi is an articulate and intelligent professional who curated our experience to match our wish list and efficiently managed our itinerary to ensure that we saw everything we wanted in our limited time together. Demi clearly knows her island and it shows. Along with deftly guiding us to each site and explaining its significance, Demi interwove into her commentary the island's history, current affairs, architecture, products, wineries, food, beaches and lifestyle, and also provided thoughtful and detailed answers to our queries. With considerable charm, passion and unflagging stamina, Demi held our attention as we drove from one beautiful site to another. She was undeterred by throngs, adroitly managed to sidestep rowdy tourists to get us first to the top spots for photos and took great photos of our family. She even found time for a delicious respite at a gelataria with the best pistachio and fig gelatos. We also spent a few minutes at a shop with eco-friendly cork handbags/wallets so we could get unique, yet functional, souvenirs; definitely not your average run-of-the-mill tourist traps. Demi bonded so well with us that by the end we felt she had become a part of our family. Overall, highly recommend a tour with Demi.
