A Journey Through Santorini’s Ancient Past 🌋🏛️

Our tour with Zefeiris was one of the highlights of our time in Santorini. As a high school history teacher, he brought the island’s history to life with an incredible depth of knowledge, making every stop engaging, informative, and memorable. He met us right at the top of the cable cars, making the start of the tour seamless, and guided us through the island with fascinating stories and historical context. Our visit to Akrotiri was especially memorable thanks to Joanna, an archaeologist whose grandfather helped start the excavation of the site. We felt incredibly lucky to learn from her firsthand. Joanna was exceptionally knowledgeable, and her passion for archaeology was evident in every explanation. We learned so much about Akrotiri, the Minoan civilization, and the discoveries that continue to shape our understanding of the ancient world. Learning about Akrotiri and the history of Strongili, the island’s former name before it became known as Santorini, gave us a much deeper appreciation for this remarkable island and its rich past. If you enjoy history, archaeology, and discovering the stories behind the scenery, this tour is a must. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
