Prophet Elias A visit to the monastery of Prophet Elias, up on the hilltop, is a must. There, visitors can marvel at the panoramic views of the island. Our pick up was one hour late. We were told they were busy picking up other people. The mini bus arrived and we were the only ones in it. Our tour guide took us up the first stop to a monastery. We were then going to Fira. Seeing as we had been there the day before we asked if we could go straight to Oia. This was agreed. There was no information given from then on by the tour guide. We were dropped off at Oia and were told it's just up there.
