after picking you up at your hotel we drive to the Flamingos near the Walvisbay Waterfront, from here we pass the Ramsar Wetlands and Lagune, viewing thousands of birds, the pink lakes of the Salt mine on our way to Pelican point where we visit the 70000 strong Seal Colony, from here our journey takes us south to the towering Dunes, where Dunes meet Sea, with breathtaking views and adrenaline evoking dune drive, searching for animal life in this desolate desert area, we discuss history, view this very beautiful but harsh area and then back to your Hotel. Creating unforgettable memories. After this thrilling day you will enjoy your sundowner.
We stop at the Walvis bay Lagune and view the thousands of Flamingos and other waders in the important Ramsar Wetland SOME 250 000 birds from time to time in this area then we turn north to the Seal colony. Here 70 000 seals can be seen close by and observed. If we are lucky we will find a Jackal in search of something to eat

We Pick up at the Hotel you are staying at in Swakopmund and Walvisbay, or at the Walvisbay Harbor and Airport. Our Tour starts in Swakopmund and Walvisbay pick up is 30 minutes later Please take note all cruise liner passengers. We stand in the port after the first gate with a Gazebo that has our logo on. Please note your guide will also stand with a name board. please note all Cruise Liner passengers, your tour pick up time starts an hour after you have docked. The tour will depart latest an hour and a half after the pick up time. Late comers are considered a no show

Rinus is the best driver! It was amazing both the morning and the afternooon
I'm not sure about the name of the tour, but we saw flamingos, seals, pink lakes, did siper cool dune drive. That was an absolute amazing experience!!! Worth every coin! Beautiful views, cool dune drive, and what's we loved most - a looot of interesting stories from our guide Andrew! He is absolutely cool! I don't know about the other guys, but if you have a chance to book with Andrew - DO IT!!! Photos were taken on another phone with better camera, so sorry, no pics. Svetlana, Russia
Johan was our guide and made this entire day one of the most memorable and fun days that we will remember forever! He was also very knowledge and gave us a lot of good info during the tour and answered my husband’s endless questions!
Had a great day! We started out with a relaxed ride on a small catamaran with friendly staff and a hitchhiking seal. We saw and heard lots of seals and dolphins up close. Very enjoyable. In the afternoon, the excitement level went way up. We drove out to Sandwich Harbour just before the spring tide made the passage along the beach impossible. Our driver’s experience really stood out here: the other companies did not reach the passage in time, while we made it through before the tide came in. We drove between mighty dunes and impressive waves. Some exciting moments! The cars did not stay dry! In the end however, this gave us an even more serene environment, with just the three Desert Dunes vehicles (connected by radio) in between the dunes. We also learned a lot about the nature surrounding us. This combination trip is definitely doable. You’ll feel fulfilled (and tired) at the end of the day.
I came into this experience feeling a bit discombobulated and under-the-weather. I was a bit behind the 8-ball on preparing for the adventure and my driver, Andrew, totally put me at ease. He was kind, funny and really knowledgable. He went above-and-beyond to set us at ease and even gave us fossilized oyster shells he had collected. That is, by far, my favorite souvenir from this trip. (I honestly felt like no tip would have been big enough to cover my gratitude). Other drivers were also exceedingly kind to me at collective stops for the tour. My stomach was a bit off, and one of them told me at an off-cycle time I looked like I needed a beer, and sat and drank one with me in the sand while other folks hiked the sand dunes. It helped! My only feedback is that I would have liked a little more time on the water with the seals, but I love animals and others seemed okay with the pacing. As a seasoned traveler, I have no reservations whole-heartedly recommending this experience. (I initially chose it on the recommendation of friends, and I think they were spot on with their positive experience).

Wow. What an amazing day. Huge thanks to Stephan and Volker for making it such a great experience. Honestly, if you are planning a day in Swakopmund, then check this out. The seals are just such a delight and then the dunes are both stunning and fantastic fun. The way Stephan and Volker organised it meant we got to the dunes right in between the morning and afternoon peaks, so we got the lot almost to ourselves. And a note to our guides - you were so much fun. You made it a great day for us all.

We had the best day kayaking with the seals and then heading to the dunes on the 4x4 with our guide Andrew. The seals are super cute with pups getting on the kayak (which is very stable), and I was worried about getting too cold but it was fine (do bring warm clothes and a set of change as you do get water on you with the paddles and the seals jumping around). The Dunes and the scenery were magnificent, just like in the pictures, and it isn't crowded, there were 4 cars in total. We had lunch with an incredible view. You also get to see the flamingos, quite a few jackalls on the way, the salt extraction fields.. Andrew was lovely and very knowledgeable. An amazing experience we will remember!
