It was a great experience. Awesome for first time surfers. Instructor was super easy going and helped get you on the waves
Beautiful beach spot behind the Marriott hotel. First time surfing for my boys (14/12/8). We were the only people at our scheduled time, so plenty of attention from the instructor. He was very good and encouraging with the kids. He worked with each of them to help them catch good waves and give them tips. They each were able to get up to their feet at least a little bit during the lesson (husband and I probably need to work on our fitness a little before we try this again…lol, but was still fun.) I brought a life jacket for my 8 year old who can swim but is not super confident yet, but he ended up not needing it. The water was shallow enough where we were. Definitely recommend! Oh, and we did this as a 3rd party excursion during a cruise port day. It was easy to take a taxi from the port and then we had a Lyft take us back to Old San Juan after. First trip was only about 15 minutes, the way back took closer to 25 minutes in traffic.
The instructors were nice, informative and helpful. But I will say with the shorter boards and the smoother waters it was difficult to find any balance.
Professional, courteous and had great energy. Really welcoming personality and knowledgeable. Recommend for anyone
the experience i had was amazing. ray was an amazing instructor while i tried my first time surfing. i actually was able to stand up multiple times during my session which is very hard to do but with his tips and adjustment coaching i was able to really enjoy my time alone on the board after the lesson was over. he made me feel very comfortable on the board as we stretched beforehand and since i was the only person that day who booked a lesson he said i could stay for longer than usual which i was very grateful for. i will be booking this experience again!!
Very nice and patient instructor especially since I'm not very coordinator. Water was great and safe, would do it again and already recommended my friends.
My experience with Water World Surfing was excellent. The lesson was well organized and enjoyable from start to finish. The instructor was peaceful, patient, and reassuring, which made me feel comfortable and confident in the water. They took the time to explain everything clearly and provided encouragement throughout the lesson. Their calm approach helped make learning to surf a fun and relaxing experience. I would highly recommend Water World Surfing to anyone looking for a great surfing lesson with knowledgeable and supportive instructors. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
Instructor was great and patient! It was my daughter’s first time surfing and she would love to do it again!
Gus the guide was great. It was our first time so wasn't sure what to expect but he took the time to teach us the ropes. Was a fairly windy day but enjoyed learning something different. 1 hour of training with guide and 1 hour solo to practice.
Ok instructor. He showed up late and everyone was confused. People kept showing up while he was in the water with the first group. Very disorganized. It was advertised as a two-hour class but it turned into a one hour class and one hour of board rental.
We do state explicitly that it’s 1 hour with the instructor and 1 hour surfing on your own. We cannot control who walks up and wants a lesson, so sorry for being busy 😎
