Pablo was a magnificent guide on our City Tour in the capital; he had a very positive attitude with great knowledge of every site we visited. We visited very emblematic places for the history and politics of Costa Rica, he gave us very enriching talks about coffee and its different varieties, whether high-altitude or low-altitude, he gave us coffee tastings, and in the central market we ate local fruits. In addition to that, we had time to go souvenir shopping at very affordable places. It was very worth it, as this tour provided us with a very enriching and valuable experience, so I can recommend it. The empanadas we ate in the central market were delicious. We visited museums, theaters, and many parks. Thanks, Pablo, top.
Pablo the guide was super amazing! I booked last minute (day of) and they were so accommodating. They met me earlier and Pablo took great care of of me and my mother who are new to Costa Rica. He took us around the market and sampled so many things. He gave us so much complimentary stuff and small shops and coffee places we would’ve otherwise missed. I was hesitant to go with my elder mom but man! Pablo spent so much time with us in helping us buy our groceries and some other trip essentials. He put us at ease! I really recommend the walking/sightseeing tour! It’s so worth it! He also introduced us to a traditional Costa Rican lunch for ‘married men’ which means it’s a lot of food and good quality. Request Jose Pablo as he was amazing!!
This was an outstanding tour ! The guide was over and above and so much fun . We went to many stops and learned about how much fruit that is unique growing locally.
Tour guide did not show up at designated meeting time and place. Have not received any assistance from Viator in this matter.
Pablo was an excellent guide. I felt personally taken care of the entire time. I learned so much about San Jose and Costa Rica. The coffee and pastries were absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend him and if I came back I will look him up again for more tours.
Our guide didn't show. Didn't reply on WhatsApp either despite being active and online. If there was a problem with our booking they could've atleast communicated that. Wouldn't recommend
Pablo and Steve are the best. This is my second time doing a city tour with them and they always make it a fun and informational time. It is a great way to start your time in San Jose or Costa Rica. We got to sample local chocolate and had great lunch at the Central Market.
Pablo was exceedingly proud and enthusiastic about his city and this came over in the way he showed us different parts of the area. There was a little confusion about the meeting place but this did not spoil the enjoyment of the trip.
The tour guide didn't show up. They charged me for a tour they didn't provide. We waited for approximately 45 minutes. I am very upset and will never book with them again.
The walking city tour in San José with Jordan was a real highlight! He was the perfect guide – super friendly, funny and a real expert at the same time. He knows the city like the back of his hand and enthralled us with exciting stories about San José and Costa Rica. The finale of the tour was particularly enjoyable: a visit to the central market, where we got to sample delicious food – from good coffee to tasty tamales. An all-round successful insight into the city, culture and cuisine. Highly recommended – thank you very much, Jordan!
