Our samurai experience program entails dressing up in a samurai costume and learning samurai sword fighting (Tate) first-hand. Anybody can join the activity regardless of age and gender, as long as you have the samurai spirit within you. Our samurai experience plan has been featured on TV and in the media, and has already been enjoyed by over 3,000 people from many different countries! Since this type of experience is rare in Tokyo, we have been incorporated into tour plans by tourist agencies and travel agencies, and our experience has been very well received by visitors to Tokyo from all over the country. My 17 year old and I had an amazing experience. The session was informative and fun. The staff was courteous and professional. The instructions were clear and they offered to take action shots throughout the class.

The start time is not implicit on the ticket nor on the bookings page on Viator. The add to calendar link on Viator apparently went to the default setting of 12 noon. As a result we were late and missed out on the experience, which my family was really looking forward to and paid more than $600 for. In fairness, the initial confirmation we got weeks ago did say that it started at 10:30 AM. But on the day of, the ticket doesn't have the time on it, and the add to calendar feature defaults to an incorrect time.
Everyone was super kind and helpful! They helped you dress in the kimono and the taught us how to draw and replace the katana, and then we had a movie fight which was super fun! I'd definitely recommend.
This was a professional samurai sword class. We arrived, and they dressed us in our practice samurai kimonos. The swords were metal and heavy but not sharp on the side. We learned basic moves and then a full fighting move. The instruction was great. They were careful and thoughtful. We were hesitant because it had few reviews but so thankful we booked it! It was an historical activity highlight. Book it!!
