Salvador Historical City Center Tour

Description
Our tour begins at Farol da Barra lighthouse, the geographical meeting point of the Bay of All Saints and the Atlantic Ocean. We'll journey along Av Sete de Setembro, passing by Ladeira da Barra (home to the Yacht Club, Santo Antônio da Barra Church, and the intriguing English Cemetery), Largo da Vitória and Corredor da Vitória (once the residence of Bahia's aristocracy, including Carlos Costa Pinto Museum). We'll also take in Campo Grande, a historic square that witnessed pivotal battles for Bahia's independence and lively Carnival celebrations. Our walking tour commences at Praça Municipal, home to Palácio Rio Branco and the City Hall, facing Elevador Lacerda. From its balconies, prepare to be mesmerized by one of the most breathtaking views of the Bay of All Saints. We then proceed to Terreiro de Jesus, where Salvador Basilica Cathedral stands. A highlight of our tour is the São Francisco Church. Our tour ends in the colorful and historically rich Largo do Pelourinho.

The center is cute for walking quietly, shopping, taking pictures, etc. The churches are beautiful, the house where the famous Michael Jackson video was filmed became mythical; although it could be taken care of a little better.
the historical center of salvador da bahia is very interesting, educational and colorful , multi cultural and even safer than expected.
