Trip of a lifetime!!!

I booked this trip with my 15 year old daughter to do something adventurous and challenging and it certainly did not disappoint. We saw so many incredible things that its impossible to say what was best. The first two days were the most challenging but were still very doable. I am 54 years old and not an experienced hiker and still was able to manage. I loved the diversity of the trip, going from glaciers to jungles and seeing the history and culture of the region. The lodging locations were unique and stunning. The food was delicious. Every night our chef prepared a great meal with several dishes. You certainly did not go hungry. Lastly, the thing that made the experience complete was our guide, Jose! From the minute we met him, he was attentive and caring. He put a lot of effort making sure we had everything we needed. He continously fed us information about the places we visited. He always went above and beyond for us. He knew all of the good spots for pictures and served as our personal photographer. I would definitely recommend Salkantay Trekking and if you are lucky, you will get Jose as your guide.

Best experience and Best guide is Franz the Andean Goat

We are a family of 4, two teenagers aged 13 and 16 who did the Salkantay in 5 days. The experience was incredible. The food, the accommodation, the days of hiking, and the guide, everything was perfect! I have nothing but good words! The children loved their experience, Franz the guide was very kind to them and allowed them to have confidence throughout the trek. The organization was perfect, a relaxed guide, adaptive to the group, very friendly! I highly recommend this guide to you: Franz the Andean goat ;)

Salkantay 5 Day Premium Trek

This was quite an experience! Hard work trekking, but our guide, Joel Fuentes, is outstanding and got us there in one piece while simultaneously sharing his fund of knowledge. The views along the way are spectacular and definitely something to experience. The support staff—chef, sous-chef and horseman—all did a fantastic job in their roles. Highly recommended as long as you’re up for a physical challenge! (Family of 5—59, 57, 23, 21, 18)

Amazing time with Nico!

Nico was an excellent tour guide, and the entire cooking staff made the trek an unforgettable experience. Every meal was freshly prepared by Juan Carlos and was absolutely delicious. Nico's knowledge of the Salkantay Trek and the history of Machu Picchu added so much to the journey. Our trekking group was wonderful. We met such lovely couples and made incredible memories together. Although the trek was challenging, there were plenty of options to accommodate hikers of different abilities, making it an enjoyable experience for everyone. I highly recommend this trek and this amazing team!

A life changing experience in the Andes

A beautiful life changing experience in the Andes. Everything was perfectly planned, and Marco Antonio our guide did a phenomenal job bringing his passion and energy in his explanations of nature, Inca civilization, and the Andes. The journey through the Salkantay pass and descent into the jungle allowed us to appreciate the natural beauty of the area. Food was delicious and accommodations were fantastic along the way - very comfortable! Machu Picchu was magical - book this once in a lifetime experience with Salkantay Trekking. They are professional, safe, and very well organized! They are the best!!!

Incredible mix of outdoor adventure and culture

The Salkantay 5 day premium trek was incredible in all ways: Hiking, views, food, history and culture. Our guide was knowledgeable, patient and entertaining. All of the other staff were also wonderful. I think Premium was worth it for everything included. I would highly recommend this trek to anyone looking for a mix of outdoors and culture!
