Mohamed Osman is the best guide that you could ever get. So professional and so kind, best experience!
We had an absolutely fantastic tour with Mohamed Osman at the Pyramids of Giza and Saqqara. Honestly, we can confidently say that this was the best tour and one of the greatest experiences we had during our time in Egypt. Mohamed is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also deeply passionate about ancient Egyptian history. What made the experience so exceptional was the way he connected different dynasties, rulers, pyramids, and historical events throughout the day. His explanations never felt like a memorized script — you could genuinely feel that he truly understands and loves his field of expertise. He gave us an amazing insight into ancient Egypt and made the entire history feel alive and interconnected. At the same time, you could clearly feel how proud he is of his country, heritage, and history, which made the experience even more authentic and memorable. On top of that, his English is absolutely flawless and extremely easy to follow. He speaks very clearly with a natural American accent, which made it effortless to fully focus on the history and explanations without ever struggling to understand anything. Overall, this experience was far beyond our expectations, and we can highly recommend Mohamed Osman to anyone visiting Cairo — whether for Giza, Saqqara, the Grand Egyptian Museum, or other historical tours.
Mohammed was an amazingly knowledgeable & engaging guide. He took us around the museum showing us items & explaining the background in a way that we would never have achieved by ourselves.
If you have a couple days in Cairo this is your chance to see more then just GEM and Giza necropolis. I definitely recommend to get a guide with a transfer to Saqqara and Memphis. Less tourists, easier to explore then Giza necropolis, car parkings are near the pyramids, museums and tombs. It was a memorable trip full of ancient Egyptian religion, philosophy, culture and mystery of architectural and engineering decisions. Entrance tickets and a lunch are included in a price of a tour. Tickets inside the buildings such as Serapeum, Saqqara pyramid ect. are extra paid. We decided to choose a medium price private tour with entrance tickets only included. You can freely ask a guide about everything, take your time to the things you want to and not to be rushed by the group. However the tour is not overpriced because of tickets you don’t need. You pay only for that things that you interested in. A guide will tell the best set of extras and correct the plan of a tour including your wishes. There is nothing to say about the place. You should come and see it by yourself. It’s impressive. Also the guide kindly ask you to visit the place of shopping he recommend after the tour. The stuff is very polite and friendly. We bought some souvenirs, spice and tea. Do not be scared of the first high price and haggle if you really need the thing. If you try to find a reason to say “No” it means that you are in the negotiation and the stuff will ask you again trying to offer a better price. Some people find it annoying but it’s just a part of the Egyptian marketing. If you don’t need it just say it to the seller strictly. I do not like to haggle and even for me it was not stressful. Hope you’ll enjoy the tour as we did. A huge thank to our guide Ahmed and a driver for a wonderful and safety ride.
Very good tour and excellent guide: Mohamed Osman. Thanks again!
GEM was a great experience with the best of all quide MOHAMED OSMAN. He quided us thru the spectacular museum with great knowledge and skill. Great Thanks!
I booked the layover tour. Everything was smooth and trouble free. I was picked up by the driver from an airport hotel and dropped back directly to the terminal airport. Didn’t have to worry about luggage. Highly recommend guide Mohamed Osman for anyone wanting to make the most of a short stay in Cairo between flights.
Mohamed Osman gave us a very interesting tour of the step, red and bent pyramid and many other sights. Highly recommend! The tunnels inside were quite adventurous.
Our guide, Mohamed Osman, was excellent, he explained everything to us perfectly and took great photos, he knows the places visited perfectly and will take exceptional photos!
This was a great tour to saqqara and serapeum but giving it a 4 instead of 5 because guide was a little complacent and messaged they would be late picking us up because driver overslept. They arrived 15 min late and driver looked half asleep and car was beat up and not clean inside or out. This was a national holiday weekend and I think maybe some of the regular guides for this company may have been off and this was a last minute guide and driver. Not sure but it was my perception. Guide did not talk much and at times was hard to understand. The serapeum is a must see and we did the tour just to see it since we missed going there on our prior visits to Egypt. We had hoped the guide/egyptologist would have talked more but he only talked if we asked a question. He did look after us very well - as far as helping with steps and finding places to sit if we needed to rest-he was let out by the driver about 15 min before we arrived back at the hotel instead of accompanying us all the way back and said he had to get transportation home from that stop as he lived far away. The driver at the end of the day seemed more awake and pointed out a few sites to us on the way back to the hotel that the guide never did when we left the hotel. We used this company over 15 years ago and had a phenomenal experience - the guide we requested that we had 15 years ago was “not available” - even though we requested him months ago- we have referred many friends to this company and they have all had good experiences with our former guide and others. A little more communication and attention to detail would have given it 5 stars. And we have never had a guide on any tour anywhere in the world leave us for their convenience instead of accompanying us all the way back to the hotel at the end of the tour. It made it seem unprofessional and as if he was in a hurry to leave us.
