Itinerary

The construction of the Sagrada Familia started in 1882, under architect Francisco de Paula del Villar. In 1883, when Villar resigned, Antoni Gaudí took over as chief architect, transforming the project with his architectural and engineering style, combining Gothic and curvilinear Art Nouveau forms. Gaudí devoted the remainder of his life to the project, and he is buried in the crypt. At the time of his death in 1926, when he was run down by a streetcar, less than a quarter of the project was complete. The Basilica is still unfinished, but construction passed the midpoint in 2010 and it is expected to be finished by 2026 - the centenary of Gaudi's death. Join this amazing tour to discover the secrets, obstacles, and stories around this extraordinary church, which is considered the most personal interpretation of Gothic architecture since the Middle Ages. Feel free to visit the Museum of the construction of the temple after the tour.

Excellent tour and guide

Excellent knowledgeable guide, so great to be able to skip the queue especially as it was a very hot day. It can get hot inside the familia Sagrada so be prepared. Guide answered questions and we were able to go up the towers which we didn’t know about beforehand. This is a separate cost at the location.

Fantastic visit

Raul was a fantastic guide and great local knowledge. Without him, we would not have enjoyed Salgrada Familia as much as we did.

Informative and enjoyable tour.

Every visit to Barcelona, we take a tour of the Sagrada Família. As construction continues, there is always something new to see. This visit was especially memorable because your guide “Neus” had an in-depth knowledge of the background of the structure as well as updates on the current additions and history including Pope Benedict’s authorization of the Sagrada as a Basilica. Her local knowledge of not just the building but of Catalonia as a distinct geographic region brought history alive. Great guide. Very informative and enjoyable tour.

Services not rendered

I had booked the tour in English paid over $300. Got there and had a french tour guide who instructed us to go on our own with no refund. Ridiculous. Services no rendered. Will be disputing charge with credit card company if not corrected and will not use this tour operator next year or ever.

Very happy with tour

Tour guide was very detailed in his knowledge of the church, its history and the architecture. Given the price to simply enter the church as an individual, paying for this tour and skip the line were a no brainer. Sagrada is amazing and was one of our must sees in Barcelona.
